    BMQ for July 2011

IMHO just dress with pride.  My opinion is that the most casual you should look at this ceremont is what would be acceptable at a golf course.  No less.  If you can wear a shirt and tie, or even just a dress shirt would be acceptable as well.  If you are a woman, try to th8ink business casual. ...

What's the dumbest thing you heard said today?

Wow...  it's getting to the point where fun will be bred out of us.  Heaven forbid someone makes a joke about something, because it may offend someone!!! Good on him, though for not apologizing.  I think we need more politicians with a sense of humour.  It's just a shame that our society won't...

    BMQ for July 2011

I know what you mean...  It's the mixture of excitement, fear, anxiety, awe, and everything else.  At least it is for me.  I've been more physically active in the last two to six months than I ever had been since college (2003).  It's definetly showing too, as I have lost about 27 to 30 pounds...

At what point does my CF pay kick in?

Well thank you so much for that little gem...  My wife has actually asked me if I was going to take any parental leave...  I told her I didn't want to take the time from my training, but if I could find a way to slip a week of vacation in here and there, that I'd see what I could do... I let...

At what point does my CF pay kick in?

That's what I thought, as well, but it never hurts to get confirmation.  Please don't be offended, but I'll check with my CFRC tomorrow, but, like I said, I'll plan for the holdback, and expect the per diem (minus the advance of $220) for the pay date of the 31st July. Thanks for the valuable...

At what point does my CF pay kick in?

I was told, by the little sheet they gave me that because I am on LWOP, I do not get paid (obviously).  But because I am now a member of the CF, my pension deductions are applicable from the moment I swear in until the moment I discharge. Seeing as I do not get paid for the time I am on LWOP...
