Just to put in my 2 cents.  I was a navy NCM Master Seaman who is now going through UTPNCM and will be training to become a navy MPO.  I've been advised that I will have to do CAP as well.  From what Borden says, ALL of the three elements for MPO will do CAP.  Trust me, I'd be happy if I didn't...

I used to report to Vadm Forcier on the west coast and was even fortunate enough to brief for him once.  I'm sorry to hear that he is leaving the CF.  He was an excellent sailor and officer.  I must say that I am surprised by his early departure.

I had the same experience with 2R22R during OP Athena.  I can't remember the exact number of service couples, but I believe it was somewhere around 12-15 sets out of the 2000 of us.  From experience, as long as your upfront about your relationship and not trying to hide it from the CO there...
