No idea what your degree entitles you to apply for. What I can tell you is expect a lot of pressure from recruiting to apply for nursing if that's what your degree is in
The minimum standard for JTF2 is just that....the minimum. Although achieving the minimum allows you to potentially make it onto selection.....the odds of making it through said selection if you can only do the minimum....are VERY low.
I'm not very tech savvy so I can't figure out how to cut an paste the particular part I'm quoting so I'll retype.
"As a result of this incident, the Chain of Command lost confidence in the individual and he was removed from employment with the unit and has not served in JTF2 again," Villeneuve...
The guy was kicked out of the unit. Lets say he was punted in 2008 which is the last date the article stated.......the lost salary over the course of these last 4 years is well into the 10's of thousands of dollars if he went back to a non-spec trade.
That's a pretty big punishment in itself....
I can't offer many answers on bringing in documentation etc (I did...but now I hear you have to apply online so I have no idea these days)
The best advice I can give you for going into the recruiting centre is look professional, speak well, be friendly etc etc.
As for the best time to go? I...
That's fine. I didn't say he was wrong did I? I simply stated that with the reallity of need vs demand for the job of MP....having only an "acceptable" diploma probably won't make you competitive vs. the hundreds of folks who are applying with the "preferred."
Maybe I'm wrong....but what I'm...
Not necessarily....if it's only an "acceptable" program and not preferred he might have told him that as it wasn't even worth him applying. They are hiring what? Like 8 externals this year for MP. With probably hundreds of people applying with the preferred Police Foundations......an...
There's 2 things you will find if you join the military that related to this right here.
1) It doesn't matter if a higher rank is your direct supervisor or not....you do what they say
2) The CF is not a hand holding organization...you want compliments, assistance with trivial things, and to...
Buy a math textbook and study? Being that you state you are a uni. student I imagine you are applying for an officer position. SHOULD you ever get in....I certainly hope you approach potential problems such as this with a little more common sense.
For the field portion you will have few, if any, tasks that require a knife. Should you require one, however, your bayonet will more than suffice.
Don't bring a knife to BMQ. As for zippos....you don't need one of those either.
To answer your question.....yes I think about getting a civvie job all the time. Why don't I? Simple, I have a good steady job that has allowed to me purchase a home, 2 cars, and support my wife and 2 kids. I also find I remember the good times and not the bad.....which means it can't be that...
American: 1st SFOD Delta and Navy SEALS DEVGRU would probably be the closest equivalents to JTF2. 75th Ranger Regiment and the Green Berets is comparable to CSOR.
Britain: SAS = JTF2. As for CSOR I don't know.....Para Pathfinders perhaps?
When I was going through the process before I got an OT to MP I was deferred by two services. The reason? I was not successful on the competencies interviews. While I won't go into specifics, the questions that were asked were actually hard/next to impossible for me to come up with an example...
Cadets are not auxillaries....two very separate programs. Auxillaries are volunteers. Cadets are paid and typically work full time for the police service.
As for police competencies.....you can get them by working at McDonald's. Getting on with a police service is all based on the...
Was just wondering if anyone has any idea on potential dates for upcoming MPAC's? I've inquired through my CoC, asked the BPSO's office and searched the DWAN high and low. If anyone has any ideas of dates, or ballpark figures......or could point me in the right direction as to where I can find...
I was asked this the other day by someone in your typical white collar office job. My answer? I asked him the exact same question about his job........
What if the military doesn't pan out for you? What if you get it and it's not for you? What if you blow out a knee and are medically released? What if you do something stupid and are kicked out? You're then left trying to find a job without a highschool diploma.....good luck with that.
The...
