CF Hair Regulations - superthread [MERGED]

Hello, Information and material in this thread seems to be quite out-dated in relation to BMQ. I wanted to inquire if one is allowed to bring his(her) own set of clippers and buzz it during BMQ. I usually buzz 1/100 of an inch every 3 to 4 days and shave sideburns starting adjacent to the helix...

Officer occupations – Which one should I choose?

Just saw you don't have any aircrew trades. \If you weren't medically cleared, you would have received a mail-letter from the RMO after his review.

Officer occupations – Which one should I choose?

Your file is most likely sent for Air Factor review in Toronto after RMO assessment. Air Factor review can take any where from 1 week to a month or two. Then, if everything goes well, comes selection.

The Long Wait may soon Be Over

Oh please Mr.Peevologist... get the facts straight  >:(. People in "Asian" countries do speak English. Out of the 1.2 billion folks in India, more than 10% speak English, about %50 in Pakistan, %80 percent in Singapore and %75 in the Philippines. There are people starving for books and...

Military Police Reserve Training vs MP Fulltime Training? (Reserve Badging?)

<a href="http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111029055229AAbmp8e">This</a> may offer some broad insight. Also, it'd be best to ask these questions in one of the other sections of the forum, namely <a href="http://forums.army.ca/forums/index.php/board,36.0.html">Basic Training</a> or...

    What of assets?(Vehicles and whatnot)

I was referring to "right" (air quotes?) in relevance between common-law and legal marriage; yes off base is conditional on request(s) and other factors.

    What of assets?(Vehicles and whatnot)

Recruits live in barracks unless one requests to live separate because of being legally married under Canadian regulations. I am not sure for common-law couples, but I believe they have the same rights under federal rule.

I completely agree. For the most part, they are very reckless and aggressive on the road in their lane changing, forcing their way into the lane no matter what speed the driver in the adjacent lane is approaching. But hey.., give them an inch and they'll take mile. Also, there's nothing funnier...

Your train-wreck brings awful memories flooding back... I live in Barrhaven, Ottawa - a red light away from crash site and what happened exactly a month ago was very sad... My dearest thoughts to the friends and families of the crash victims.

    BMQ Recourse

It would be ludicrous for Pvt. Recruit Bloggins to restart the course to week one if he ends up spraining his ankle a week before grad. week. Please report back with the speculation.

    BMQ Recourse

If you get injured during Regular Force BMQ, you will be put on PAT (personnel awaiting training). You'll most likely stay there until you're good as "new" or healed and join another course from where you left off. In the reserves, you're sent back home and will redo the course later. To avoid...

    Noob Questions

From the CAF website: See signature of reply #18 if you're interested in "contract" aka TOS approximate length for NCM occupations - it's an old document but should give you an overview. http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/30846.0.html In the regular force, deployment is not voluntary...

    References

It's not a big deal. Obviously 1 year is not sufficient. On my application I had put 4 references, including my father - albeit knowing me for 25 + years.. it was disqualified as a reference... The other 3 references were my employers > 1 for 5+ years, 2 for 3 years. Only 1 of my references was...

Officer occupations – Which one should I choose?

They ask for one but it's not mandatory. From the "DND Personal Data Verification" form - CFRGHQ//R3 Stds – PVF 2012- : "Please include a copy of your resume (if you have one)." http://cdn.forces.ca/_PDF2010/PersonalDataVerification.pdf
