    PTSD / OSI [Merged]

"but to go through all the stigma, lost friendships" Looks to me that they really weren't "friends" to begin with. Although this statement does allude to previous posts and threads about the question of "a suck it up" attitude still within the CF, no?

    PTSD / OSI [Merged]

There are some individuals that have been put onto the SPHL or have sought help for either PTSD or OSI's that are or were from the Bn (past and present). I see one or two of these individuals occasionally in passing (mostly on Remembrance Day). Within the unit the discussion of people "faking"...

27 Sept 08: "Two Canadians hurt during outpost attack in Afghanistan"

After reading that last article supplied by milnews, yes that is quite different, I stand corrected, a vehicle patrol PB is definitely different than a FOB.

Is there help before I'm "aged out"?

I'm suprised that some members are not aware of this, as LM has pointed out the CRA was in fact changed what, 5 maybe 6 years ago? GUNS, as far as I am aware, that is forces wide. Only 21 more years until I have to retire...... ;D EDIT: KC thanks, posted just before you.

Boulet Cdn Desert Boots - Rpts and Rtns? What do you think of this product?

My Boulets were reserved for KAF, and after my SWATS went "missing" I've been wearing Boulets. I find they give me lower back pain and are uncomfortable in the arch and the heel. My SWATS on the other hand were like slippers and they held up quite well. Being wet for hours on end and all the...

    Security Company (?) "TUNDRA"

Well considering that the internet is kind of slow in Afghanistan, and a search on either the WiFi or DWAN is laborious at best....my humble apologies, we don't always have access to "high speed" connections. Many Thanks Edit: If you don't mind, what search string('s) did you use?

    Security Company (?) "TUNDRA"

Greetings, I'm looking for any information on a company called "Tundra". This is a security/consulting company that is apparently based out of Edmonton and is run by an Ex CF member, I can't find any information yet. I am also inquiring if they currently have any contracts with the DND...

Anything more constructive to add geo? Milnews: Agreed but, there is only so much that can be done with what you have (read size). If you have committed a sizable chunk then, that same chunk has to be given some downtime, I would think.
