some of you might remember me posting a month or two ago about my experiences... well since then my medical results have arrived in london from my family doctor. they just got sent off to borden yesterday (thur 15th). i did some calling around to get my file shuffled to the proper reserve...

hmm, i sympathize with you thus far. it'll be interesting to see now, since i was applying through london and didnt make it for summer bmq. now i will want to transfer my application up to owen sound with the foresters... this ought to be interesting seeing if it even arrives

chances of getting in no, probably not if its 100% and not gonna snap in half... then you're ok but probably like me, get shafted 1 1/2 weeks before leaving for BMQ and told you have to get a bunch of papers signed by your doctor certifing you are ok

eh, what can you do... i tried... i knew it was going to be a tight squeeze getting in anyways... so this is just one of the hurdles they said might arise. in hindsight i could have pee'd allover the sample cup though    >:D haha...

it's on the medical questionare.... any broken bones, surgery etc i had surgery to correct it... and you arn't supposed to lie on the testing :) but still, i have 100% range of motion, he even tested my shoulder with range and force try to dislocate it... i really think he could have said...

yep.... so i showed up today in anticipation for my testing... finished up the aptitude test (only 3 of us in the room), had part one of the medical taken care of.... procceded into part 2 of the medical and thats when i started getting the feeling that this was going to sink me. so...

hmm, on this note maybe we should get some feedback about what personal kit people have/want/will bring? there is a thread on kit, and what is included,  plus some recommended gear. but i'm interested in what people will be bringing or what we are allowed to bring. i havent even thought...

Yep, opened my file yesterday (thursday) had all the documentation input, my tests are booked for tuesday 15, then my medical on the 17. after that its up to the unit to get my kit together, they said thats the problem... if they're slow we'll see

yes I read that looking around some more, the new reserves testing thingy.... sounds good, for those of us how are joining after june 1st! sorry folks

woah hoah... if all goes well i'll be seeing you boys in meaford too! i'll have to keep you all updated next week when i get all the testing etc done...

ahahha... yea my eyes are pretty tired after driving there today... no its more like 3 hours ... without any OPP beind me and yea, truthfully if i can get in for the summer bmq, i dont mind at all having to drive 6 hours for a few days to get in... it'll be worth it to me.

Interesting reading... sounds like some others in my shoes... but much earlier than me! I just opened my file today at London, and have my test/medical/interview booked for this tue... she said if the medical turns out fine i will be booked thursday for my fitness test. whats everyone talking...

Korus, really? how much more expensive are those puppies than my regular daily contacts? Not really daily, I take them out after a day, before I goto bed. My eye doctor said they have a chance of slipping around too far behind the eye to get if you sleep with them in... so I take them out...
