Not to downplay the threat, but I thought I read elsewhere that all flyable aircraft departed before the air base was seized. Judging by the photos of the remaining aircraft, I'm not too sure we have to worry about them getting airborne anytime soon.
Interesting times ahead perhaps.

Back when I was a Lt many years ago, you could go to QR&Os and/or CFAOs and find an answer to pretty much anything. Nowadays, "the regs" are a f****** disaster. Best of luck with your search, but if this is a recent change, it'll probably be years before CFAOs and/or DAODs are updated.

I agree that we are paid pretty well, but I think that table is a little off. I had a look at pay rates for Cpl, Sgt, Capt and LCol in the CF, US, UK and AUS (pay level 1, non-spec pay). Whilst near impossible to draw a direct correlation, here is what I came up with (monthly rates, converted to...
I'd like to see a separate process for determining military compensation and benefits, beyond the current practice of simply benchmarking with the public service (though that could certainly still be a consideration, or not, in the overall process). Call it the Canadian Forces Compensation and...
