I was told ANAVs are going to get the UAV pilot spots. Can anyone confirm this? My source is not the best so that is why I am looking for someone more in the know to confirm or deny it.

Remember that a Reg force job is not your usual 8 to 4. Working full time in the military and doing a degree is challenging as you can be called to be away for extended periods of time (EXs, deployments). Do a search on this site and you will find people sharing their experiences in this matter...

Some Res units do not recruit from the ranks no matter how good your potential for commissioning is while others do. Ask again your section commander what is the proper procedure and this time insist on getting a clear answer. If he does not know, it is his responsibility to ask the next level...

According to this CBC article, we had 96,318 reg force members in 2006. Isn't this number way too high?
