A small (or large) bottle of siracha is pretty good moral booster when you're out in the field as well.

USN orders 10 new Block IV Virginia class SSNs for record US$17.6 billion

Since they're primarly role is to be underwater, I would say they are all seaworthy.  :)

Photos from my recent trip to Canada's mlitary cemetery in Normandy

The photos are hosted on a different site, so it shouldn't be an issue.  If your trying to post dozens, it might be better to just put a hyper link.

NDP want to see Canadian Forces peacekeepers in Central African Republic

I hope so, but agreeing with the government on this issue doesn't exactly play to the NDP base.

    Stabbings in Toronto and Pensylvania

If only we banned and regulated all those sharp pointy things like they did in Britain we'd all be safer... Wait never mind....

What's the dumbest thing you heard said today?

Speaking of deseases. Because attacking the isolation camp filled with ebola patients and trying to kill the doctors is a great way of not spreading my worst nightmare incarnate.

Canada investigating possible outbreak of Ebola?

Adding to the fact that the ebola outbreak that's currently hitting Guinea is looking more and more like Zaire strain that currently has about a 59%-74% mortality rate, but has in the past hit upward of 90%. This thing is something out of my nightmares.

    "The Bear" is Dead

I don't know, and I don't think Karma take plotting into account. Though I have to be honest, 106.9's automated jukebox is playing better music then they're DJ's have for the last couple years.

    Credit Check Superthread- Merged Topics

I picked mine up when I was 17 and worked part time as a hockey referee.  Go in to your local bank and ask to talk to someone and explain your situation and request a small credit limit for the occasional online purchase, emergencies, coffee or what ever.  Most banks will also have credit cards...

    Credit Check Superthread- Merged Topics

One possibility is to get a credit card with a small limit and just use it to buy coffee from Tim Hortins, thus building a credit history.  Plus they are useful in case of emergency as well. The biggest thing is to make sure that you pay it back.

What's the dumbest thing you heard said today?

I can just see them trying to explain free health care by stating that the government just needs to print more money to pay for it.
