    Combat Support Company?

Reminds me of my closet when I was still in...I must have had over a dozen pairs of whatever in there. To the point, Amajoor made a comment about int with recce.  Its a great idea, one that I believe should be in practice, but you dont need the whole cell, only a single liaison; despite the...

A Collection Of Army.ca Humour - including SKIPPY'S DAMN LIST AGAIN!!

Bastard - that was my plan for Canada!  ;D Heres one I liked to tell (usually using the org of the buddy I was telling it to): A Canadian is walking along the base road when he sees a flagpole and three (insert country and arm) soldiers.  The three soldiers are trying to stand on each others...

    Dallaire: Peacekeeping has failed

+1; Surprising how fast he changed his tune on Afghanistan considering how he was against it before...

    Patriot

That was confusing me too! 'Duff' can mean numerous things... - A stiff flour pudding boiled in a cloth bag or steamed. - Decaying leaves and branches covering a forest floor. - Fine coal; slack. - a brand of skate shoes - a slang term for the bits left in the bottom of the bag after the booty...

    New PT Test Requirements...Thoughts?

Come to think of it I dont recall doing any PT test in 1985 before hitting Cornwallis either... cant say for sure how many times I did them while there, its all kind of a blurr.  I do recall doing a lot of running.  Although Im not sure if my inability to recall details is due to weariness...

Re: Army.ca Status- Who Replaces Mike When The Dark Helo's Swoop On Munster?

I keep having to double check to see if you are serious... spooky political rhetoric being issued from the soapbox there...  :o

    Venezuela Superthread- Merged

Hey Colin P, took me a while to find this thread again. Based on some recent articles, looks like the Chavez has stepped up his anti-Americanism and is leaning farther into the neo-Communist camp.  Looks less and less like simple posturing and rhetoric.  You read anything lately that would put...

Is China a threat? (from: Global NATO?)

I'd like to hear what Edward Campbell has to say about that question...all I can think of is a possible India/China border skirmish, but that seems unlikely these days, or an increase in insurgent activity in the eastern provinces that causes discord with neighbouring central Asian countries.

    Name The Weapon!!!

Bit of a frankenstein-looking assembly isnt it?  Looks like it would traverse and angle pretty well, but also looks like it would be easily damaged in field conditions...too many tracks and bits and clips...

    Name The Weapon!!!

Is there some sort of annual 'Army.ca Stupid Remark Award' this guy can be nominated for? I know Ive said some silly things here but that one has me beat by a long shot... (I.e.  below could be 'Space Cadet of the Year Award'... )

Is China a threat? (from: Global NATO?)

I dont think you have to apologize for anything.  A very good summary.

The 'Bravest Guy in al-Anbar Province'

Some of the best writing Ive seen on the subject lately - no punches pulled, and love the story about the mayor... ;D

    New PT Test Requirements...Thoughts?

I always did hate that term.  Some people treat it as the joke it is, an old tradition that Sgt-Majors carried on.  It was funny at first, but once you see friends with legitimate injuries like broken legs or arms or even leukemia grouped under that category, it stops being funny.  Too many...

    Really Cool Fitness Initiative

Where was that when I was still in!!? A could clear a couple extra days pay every month with that type of perk...  Otherwise, never heard of that type of incentive program before.

    Weapon Myths

If I recall correctly, the AK-47 could use NATO 7.62, but the C1A1 could not use Russian/WP/Eastern bloc 7.62.  The Russian designed round is apparently just a smidgen too long for fitting into the chambers of western built weapons; apparently it was designed that way on purpose so that they...

Protesters display terrorist flag at Calgary war memorial

Seems to be the trend doesnt it? Still, it irks me when people make claims about democracy based on watching too many TV shows...
