    The Thread of What?

Ech! Thats a lot of fluids! Dont those fluids replace the bodily fluids?  Bodily fluids dont qualify as 'toxic' but dont bodily fluids qualify as 'hazardous waste'? (Our favorite bodily fluids expert from Dr. Strangelove...) (Edit - changed image as COBRA-6 pointed out the quote on it was...

metric vs imperial - which does CF use?

rmacqueen hit the nail on the head.  A lot of our youth dont know how to convert between systems. I think you would need to do a lot of converting no matter where you work.  Just for your own knowledge you should know degrees, mils systems, and GPS systems; kilometers, miles and nautical miles...

    Teletext Terrorist

No luck... Its on several sites that post clips, including Google, TV mania and quite a few others.  Looks like it was first put out about five months ago and then proliferated all over the place after that.  Several comments implied it was an 'old' clip, but nobody stated from what show. ...

A satire on the validity of observation and evaluation in forming opinions...

During a recent debate on a thread at this forum the other day, a forum member made two mind-boggling statements.  First the prolific poster implied that observation and evaluation are not valid methods of forming an opinion. Second, the member stated that the only person who is allowed to...

Then that would be different from the time I spent with CP-140's; 1993-1997, deployments to Alaska, Hawaii, driftnet patrols and coastal patrols.  Other units worked with include Tac Hel Griffons from 1 Wing Kingston in 1999 and 2002, CF-18s from Cold Lake and 409/421 in Germany, and Herc Crews...

This is likely to get me introuble, but I object to being denied the chance to counter allegations and belittling inuendo posted by another forum member: Continued from: Military Culture Now that we are back on track to the original question, I’ll restate my opinion, based on my own experience...

    Military Culture

You are over-reacting here, deliberately confusing issues, and suffering from tunnel vision.  This is not about how a single unit operates in one part of Canada.  this is about how the army and air force operates in general; reg, reserve, deployed, rear-party, overseas, domestic, east or west...

However, you may see aircrews up at 0400 getting ready for a flight that has a briefing at 0530 and departs at 0600. Or the ground crew might have been working on an aircraft since 0100 trying to get it flying for the next day. I wore an army uniform while working for the air force for 15...
