    Going back to St Jean

What I meant by new people are the people who are new to WFT.  I was there for 8 weeks +/- myself.  5 weeks total of WFT 3 and 3 of WFT 1.  The waiting is the worst part.  I hope your hubby gets on platoon soon. The problem is, is that there's a degree of seniority that's involved - which is...

Oh I'll get there  ;D  in fact, I'm almost there now!!  Doc says that my leg is "healed" to his satisfaction, so much so that I don't have to go back to see him unless I have a major problem.  Sooooo, once I finish up my physiotherapy (whenever that is) I'll get my fit chit and I am...

sheesh what a long, drawn out process this is becoming... <whine> It would have been nice of my ortho to give me a realistic time line for my leg to heal instead of vague possibilities, I am just frustrated with my situation and want to get back to St Jean so I can get the hell out of there...

shhhhh  ixnay on the obstacle course talk... My positive attitude right now hinges on my not thinking about that thing.  I'll cross that bridge *screaming* when I come to it.  eventually I'll get to the point where I'm ready to get into that mindset again.  Until then, one day at a time.  baby steps

    Going back to St Jean

They've had phases for as long as WFT has been WFT.  The reason you don't hear/ know about it, is because most people are so sick of the process by the time they get back on course they don't want to talk about it.  Phase 3 is a holding platoon, at most the new people are on phase three for a...

:D thanks.  I think it's just the waiting to be all healed up that's driving me crazy.  Not  :threat: crazy just  :nana: crazy.  I can't wait to get back so I can get the hell out of there.

    Going back to St Jean

AWT is Adapted Warrior Training, it's where the broken injured people go.  The number after it refers to the phase(1,2,3), AWT is done alphabetically, whereas WFT (Warrior Fitness Training) the phases are based on readiness.  Phase 1 being people new to WFT and phase 3 being those who passed...

thanks.  Good luck to you with your category too.  What week are you going back to? do you have to start all over again?  When I do get back to the Mega, I'll be likely go to AWT2 then WFT, THEN platoon.

haha I've said that too, once I get my Master Jacks or hit PO, I wouldn't mind going back (different perspective and all).  But first, I have to make it through BMQ :P  *sigh*  it's a bit of a blow for sure.  But I'm dealing with it.  Oh, and I am moving.  I'm going over to NDHQ starting...

Thanks:)  I've been doing physio since the end of October - and going back yesterday was good.  I like starting new stuff.  Dr's appointment sucked, my fracture at the top of my tibia isn't "knitting" together it seems and my ortho isn't happy with the rate of regrowth there, but at least he's...

Thanks :). Trying to keep a good attitude about this shitshow of a situation is not easy. But I'm trying. Once again, I appreciate the support.

    Going back to St Jean

Well.... looks like it's going to take a little while longer for me to get back on course.  Seems the proximal third of my tibia (by my knee) doesn't want to heal properly.  So no extra weight for the time being.  Which means no rucksacks, no FFO marches, no carrying anything heavier than a...

    Hello Help please

RE: Sports From what the husband tells me, hockey's pretty popular in the CF, as in the rest of Canada. There are a number of sports teams you can join once you're in as far as I know.  You can check with your base gym and possibly your unit once you finish training and all that jazz.

    Sleep Issues on course [MERGED]

Normally, and depending on your course staff, your electronics are taken away from you for the indoc period (first 4 weeks).  After which time, again, depending on your course staff, you may be given your electronics back on weekends only - or you may be permitted to have them at the end of the...

What your surgeon says VS your actual condition-Knee Related..Med Tech opinion?

stabmasterson; In feel for your situation, I do, but please for your own sake, wait until you are 100%.  That means that you can properly perform the CF Expres test (all components), the BFT, and all the other physically demanding activities you'll perform during your course.  Drill...

    St. Jean BMQ Febuary 22nd

That's a big NO on the 10 week course rumour superfriends.  I've had the privilege of poking around in places most of you guys wouldn't get to see - while there are some changes to the course, shortening it to 10 weeks isn't one of them.  According to MITE and the CFLRS production schedule, last...

They're both anglo courses. FYI. If I do end up on that course I'd like to get on with my old course staff - but that's a crapshoot. Hope the leg is better by then.
