This hellish application... god help us. Its seems that due to the applications clunkyness, everyone has been...

    Satellite Comms & the Army

Yeah thats what I plan to do. Just four pieces of equipment ranging from the smallest to largest, briefly outlining each one. The topic requires more than one as "LCol Blake" wants to know what the Army has available. The staff must of removed some stuff or gave many of us new topics previous...

    Satellite Comms & the Army

Hey Guys,   Writing an article for my 6A's on what SatComm is available to the Army. The article focues more on format and the ability to extract and break down useful information into a very short synopsis rather than being thorough. But I have to keep it relevant as much as possible. So what...

    Writing a book......

Hello Sigs,   I am writing a book from Roto6, maybe it will be the first book from an NCO Signal. I wonder if Russel Storing has one in the queue? Anyways... aside from the obvious issues of writing about things that happened over there, are there any published guidelines, DAODs, CANFORGENs...

Affordable Personal TV & Internet in Afghanistan

AAFES is who sells that internet started at 35$. Its sold by Pakistanis but the company is AAFES. I would think it would be better to. Its tolerable though in the shacks by New Canada House. The wireless and the AAFES by Old Canada House has been very sketchy. When I was there for my week of KAF...

Affordable Personal TV & Internet in Afghanistan

This is a good solution for a small section to split on. Hardware comes free for US Military. I did mention I was in the Canadian Army and the offer was extended to me also. All you have to do is purchase, set up the dish, and you have high speed.

Army Communication & Information Systems Specialists (Sig Op, Lineman and LCIS Amalgamation)

Its hard to see anyone getting hosed in this deal. I have never seen very much esprit du corps within sigs for anyone in any of the trades to be particularly disturbed about whats happening. The jobs that we are doing right now are still the jobs we need getting done year after year. Its really...

Affordable Personal TV & Internet in Afghanistan

I am still deployed here, currently in CNS. I am using Global Connect wireless to get a connection in my room. I know there are some companies like Iridium that will sell you internet and tv at a huge price. Are thier any affordable companies to go with, for one or the other, so you can get...
