When I applied to Transfer from university I was told my marks were not even looked at. I had an mid 80's average in grade 12, and decent enough GPA in my first two years of University. But was disqualified because of a grade 11 mark. So..
Don't pick trades for the sake of getting your foot in the door. If you have to go in and reopen your file in a month or two do that. For next fiscal year they have like 250ish Combat Engineer jobs which will be available. If you want to be an Cbt Eng or an Infantryman then just wait it out...
Honestly there really isn't anything you can do. The RMO reviews your file and determines whether you are fit or not. I believe the average I was told is about 2-4 weeks for it to go to the RMO, return and be processed by your RC. Mine took about a week and a half.
Afterwards assuming...
Doesn't really seem as though she is actively Walting compared to some others in this thread. Perhaps it is the misinterpretation by reporters and PR people who do not know any better.
I would suggest upgrading your old marks. I was in a similar situation, albeit I applied when I was in second year, and was rejected because some of my highscool marks were too low. It was a Gr.11 mark which actually made me unsuitable, I had and 85% average in Grade 12 and had I applied then I...
Isn't this the same guy who was outed waaaaaaaay back in this thread. Sig Op who was attached to US forces, using incorrect acronyms for things. Was determined there was now way he finished all his courses in time to be deployed.. Seems to be very similar.
Made the decision today to decline my Infantry offer, removed armoured from my trades and commited myself 100% to Combat Engineering. So more waiting for me
Recruting Center: Toronto
Regular/Reserve: Regular
Officer/NCM: NCM
Trade Choice 1: Combat Engineer
Application Date: April 10, 2013...
Ditto this, it basically looks like your official transcript although it is unsealed and unsigned by an administrator. I had mine emailed to me, then had an official copy mailed to be handed to the RC.
Thanks Flatliner, yeah a few more months shouldn't be to hard. I was told I was quite competitive and they have more jobs for Fy 2015 then they did for 2014. So fingers crossed for spring BMQ
Well today was a big day, got a job offer for 031 Infantryman. However I will likely turn it down as I am more committed to being a combat engineer. So I will be returned to the merit list to wait for spots for FY-2015 to open up in February/March.
So here is what my application would look...
You can show them the unofficial transcripts just to get the process started then once you receive your full transcript bring that in to be added to the file. It simply cuts down the waiting time a bit.
As for your choice's do what you feel is right. If you want Cbt Eng as no.2 then put it...
Contact them as soon as possible. That way if your file hits the 30 day mark it will not be closed if they know you are still interested however only awaiting documentation. Is it possible for you to get an unofficial copy, because all the transcript is used for is to prove that you have...
1.Combat Engineer is also closed for Fiscal year 2014. It will reopen for FY 2015 as will crewman, and infantry. 2. When I had applied way back I had an issue getting some documents and it exceeded the 30 day mark, I was told there was a fifteen day window but get in touch with your recruiter...
My dad has a Z30, and it is by far the greatest phone I have used. Better then Droid or Iphone in terms of being a functioning phone. If they had released the Z30 prior to the Z and Q 10's I think they would be on top of the market still or at least in a better place then they are now.
Never in my post was I criticizing polices I have no clue about. All I did was provide an example that for young Pte's with no family, it is cheaper to live in the CF then it is to live on residence at university. I understand your point about someone with a family having a harder time but that...
