I have a cheap digital watch I wear on duty. Shows military (24 hour) clock, plus I can instantly have a stopwatch at the touch of a button. I also have a (relatively) expensive analog watch that I wear off duty (or when I put on my CFs.) Works for me; YMMV.
There is a cenotaph in Woodstock NB (seat of Carleton Co) which IIRC lists the names of those in the regiment who lost their lives in the two world wars and Korea.
The optimist in me would say maybe it's offline because they're fixing it? :) Like many others here I too was told that all applications will soon be processed online so to me it's a good thing that they're actively working on it.
I've watched through both seasons of Basic Up! several times. There is a six-part documentary put out a couple years ago called Warships that was incredibly informative regarding naval operations as well, I found several episodes on Youtube:

When I originally applied in my last year of university, they requested transcripts up to that semester; I also had to provide updated transcripts upon completion which showed the degree awarded.
Thanks! It's certainly been a long process, some of that is my fault, some of it isn't, but I knew it was what I wanted so I stuck with it. I am already in the best shape of my life and am *fairly* certain that I shouldn't get sent home due to fitness - RFT is a possibility but I am still...
Just had to chime in on this - my brother used to work customer care for Avis/Budget. *Every* rental company will pick you up, they just prefer not to. Enterprise just built a slogan around something they all do - it's like Coors Light advertising that their beer is cold, that is how Americans...
As a sobering thought, the slogan "Jedem das Seine" (German proverb meaning "to each his own" or "to each what he deserves") was over the entrance to the Buchenwald concentration camp. When the camp was then used from 1945-50 as an internment camp for Nazi prisoners, the slogan stayed.
Yes, I emailed the CFRC as well, just wanted to run it by you guys too. As you mentioned my plan was to have everything ready on the 19th (when I swear in), if they ask for it then, great, if not, it's already done.
Question for you guys, I got a packet of paperwork in the mail with the CFLRS guide and security clearance form. Are we expected to have that for the swearing-in or just bring with to CFLRS?
I'm supposed to be getting a large amount of paperwork sent my way in the coming week. Based on the list on CFLRS website, there's only one English-language platoon starting that date, so I would expect to likely be on that one.
