That's about the schedule I had - a few days after sending them in, online access disabled. Got the email yesterday that the transcripts etc were received, so now in the process of reviewing them and (hopefully) forwarding file to the local RC.

I get the same thing. After sending the electronic submission, it said that "if you have applied previously, you will not be able to track your application online". So if you have applied before, this is probably the issue.

Good luck. I'm hoping to go navy myself... MARS, NCS Eng, Logistics were my choices. Based on what I've seen here, NCS Eng and Log are only looking at "ideal" degrees so my B Comp Sc may not cut it - MARS is first choice anyway.

This is what keeps me going at the gym. If it was easy, everyone would do it. I already know what it's like to not work for the CF.

Mailed in copies of my transcripts and birth certificate on March 11. Got an email this morning that they have been received and are being processed. Baby steps I know, but at least they're in the right direction.

Just as a note, 25 is not "old" by any stretch. I will be 30 this year; if accepted, I hope to put in a 25-30 year career. Have you watched "Basic Up"? They feature a 49 year old applicant whose son was already in the navy.

I never said that the applicants in this plan are exploiting it; nor am I (as stated, I already have a degree.) I was just curious as I am sure that I am not the only who has seen that and expect that there must be a provision somewhere that deals with the hypothetical case.

I'm curious (purely academic, since I both have a degree and am applying to the Reg force). What happens if a member enrolls during their program as a OCdt but does not graduate? Are they penalized in any way? I suppose I am wondering if a loophole exists where someone could enroll as a student...

I am also a current applicant, first choice is MARS. From what I have seen, MARS would be the closest to "professional sailor" in the officer ranks, and Boatswain (Bos'n) would be the "career sailor" of the NCM world.

I wasn't able to find an answer to this through search - I have a relative in the navy who lists his occupation as shipwright - is this part of a specific trade?

That is what I figured, based on what it said when I applied, so I am not worried just yet. Of course it would be nice to have immediate feedback, but I understand that there is a process and it takes time. I really hope that I hear back over the spring/summer though.
