At the end of the day OP, nobody can make your decision for you. Whatever you decide will be your choice.  Keep in mind that the minimum starting contract for CF is 3 years.  You do not want to get into a trade that you don't want, or don't want to give 110% every day.

So happy to have got the call today from the RC to set up my CFAT.  Going to be in Oshawa June 11.

That's true, I waited maybe 9 weeks from my last contact with North Bay until I got an e-mail one day saying that my application was proceeding to my local CFRC.

As a potential recruit that selected Cook as one of my possible trades, I have done a lot of reading on it. There are a lot of people on the forums that say they never eat anywhere so well as they do in the forces.

I have never had anything but good experiences with the Virtual Recruiting Center in North Bay. I have called them twice and spoke to a recruiter directly. I have emailed them several times, usually getting a response within a couple of days. I am not sure if I was just lucky or if it is by...

I first submitted in February and just got an email stating they were proceeding with my application on May 15. It takes time. Be patient.

Anne, I am currently a member on a support committee for my local Army Cadet Corps.  The commitment as a member of the support committee is very small and would give you a chance to learn some things about a military unit.  Normally I have committee meetings once a month and help out 1 weekend...
