Well that is not good news. I was told that if it was longer than six months even by a day that we would be able to move. I don't know if my husband is going to be able to handle being away from us for a year. It has only been three weeks and he is missing us terribly.
I have done some research and found out that my husband will be undergoing 6 months of trade training in Kingston. Will the forces help me and the children to be with him during this training period or am I giong to have to sit here and wait for him to be done and has our first positng...
Unfortunatley I can't wait to see if he is going to be allowed out. It is going to take me approx. 12 hours to drive there as I am coming from Halifax, NS. I will just have to sit and pray that he gets this leave as we both need it badly.
Apparently so.
I am waiting until after week 5 to go and see my husband just in case they mess up the first weekend off. I have already booked my hotel and have the babysitter, dog sitter and travel arrangements in order. I can't wait 11 days left. WHO HOO.
ArmyGirlfriend I have added you...
Thanks so much for your help SBale. You have lifted this wife's spirits beyond belief. ;D
I will get my affairs in order for the May 13th weekend and get my self all packed and ready to go. I have to travel 12 hours to get there so I have to make sure that I am ready. Oh I can't wait...
Oh really. I had planned on it being at week 5. So do they get a pass every weekend after that? I can't wait to see him. He is missing us so bad and I really want to brighten his spirits a little.
It is my understanding that they can just leave the compounds area and that they have to report back there in 24 hours.
ArmWife I have added you now. I was at work before and I don't have MSN access there. :(
Thank you for your response.
My Hubby has a 12 hour pass coming up next week, which is the end of the 4th week. I do hope that it is the following week that he gets the 24 hour pass that would work out perfectly.
I myslelf had registered to the Canadian Military Spouse Site and felt distraught when it went down. I had found alot of useful information there and found out quite a bit about things that my husband and I didn't know. I really like the fact that you could see the pictures of the different...
My husband left for basic on the 10th as well. The first week was hard to get used to him not being here and like ArmyWife it was hard to get used to being the only parent in the house. Second week wasn't as bad and this week is even better. I imagine that next week will be even easier...
I am not a mom but the wife of one of the privates that started his training on April 12th.
I have already sent a package to my husband with 12 pages of handwritten letters. I guess that he is going to be doing a lot of push ups as well. In fact I write him everynight as I miss him dearly...
