Ah, yes, sorry, the Pte.(R) thing is correct. My bad. Although I'm not 100% sure how the scale works, the pay stubs say Pte.(R,B,T). And the way I understood it was that you could get IPC bonuses only after you were trained, but I could be totally wrong.

You are considered a Pte. (B) from when you join up until completion of your trades qualification, it really only applies to the amount of money you are getting paid per day. With only BMQ you will not be qualified to take part in most training or excercises because you likely won't be qualified...

Someone in my unit recently let me have a look at their Eagle Ind. Airborne assault pack, it's a sweet rig. There's no MOLLE on the outside, but it has a ton of useful pouches already on it, and also it's a full clam-shell design which would be helpful if you go Med-Tech because you can bust it...

The only thing about the recce smock is if you want it in CADPAT, they only order them in once in a while, and they sell extremely fast. Don't personally own one but lots of guys I know do and they all love 'em. And yeah did you lose your ICE jacket or something? lol
