7 months of French language training is for those with little or minimal French knowledge. Depending on how much you know (and they will assess you), it should take less than 7 months to take the 2nd language training. Don‘t know if these "levels" with the RCMP are the same in the CF though.

I had my PT and interview on the same day and the CFRC told me to bring in the PT results myself since I had the PT in the morning and interview in the afternoon.

At the end of the physical test, you should be able to obtain a copy of the results to take to the CFRC yourself. They will keep the original. You can also ask them to send it in for you...but if I were you, I would take it in myself...otherwise, who knows if it would be lost somewhere along...

It can take a while for the check to be done if you got a criminal record. I‘ve heard even for some people who don‘t have a record, it still takes months.

Yeah, Edmonton is great. I like the city. But I would like to move somewhere near the coast or at least near the lakes (Great Lakes).

Hmm, have the people at the recruiting centre told you that your file is indeed still open and going before the next selection board? If not, then you have to let them know that‘s what you want, or they might assume you‘re not interested anymore.
