    Sniper/Long Range Rifles

Sorry if the information is incorrect, but I was quoting from the Barrett Web Page:  "The 95M is one of the most unique and innovative bolt-action rifles available to date...an unconventional design from an unconventional company. The 95M borrows the best of its features from its counterpart...

Who here has a Cadet Medal, what is it, and what did you have to do to get it?

85% on your first attempt at NSCE. The rest of the details are in the CATO, attached below. http://www.cadets.ca/_docs/cato-oaic/4702_b.pdf It looks like being in the top 3 for NSCE is just one of the prerequisites along with Cadet Service (3 Years), conduct, academics etc. Duke

Who here has a Cadet Medal, what is it, and what did you have to do to get it?

Foxtwo, Some corps/squadrons are strict about medals. That being said, use your chain of command. Get a copy of the CATO and make sure that you meet all the prerequisites. (I posted links to the CATO in a previous response.) Tell your section or platoon leader that you have done something...

Who here has a Cadet Medal, what is it, and what did you have to do to get it?

Once again, read the CATOs. They are very clear on "who why where what and when". 'Expressing interest' is not 'applying'. And they all require a CO's involvement. Duke

    Sniper/Long Range Rifles

Depends on the Model number: The 95M is bolt action. Duke

Who here has a Cadet Medal, what is it, and what did you have to do to get it?

Um, no. You, as a cadet, do NOT apply for the Bravery, Lord Strathcona or Legion medals. The nomination is done by the corps/squadron CO, Sponsoring Committee and others. You can, of course, let your corps/squadron know of your interest in one/all of these medals. See the appropriate CATOs...

    How to iron DEU's??

Either method should get them out.  As Feral mentioned, keeping the iron moving is a very good idea. Duke

    How to iron DEU's??

I'm not sure if this is SOP, but I never directly put the iron on the DEU fabric. I use an old, clean tea towel (not a terry, bath towel-they shed lint). I wet the tea towel, wring most of the liquid out, place the towel on the DEU and then iron the towel, with the iron set on High. The towel...
