Hey DAA, I don't often ask these kind of questions but you wouldn't happen to when the med tech selections are would you? My file manager said I should be merit listed within the next week or two, so I'm wondering if a possible October/November is still in my future :S.
No you cannot defer to take BMQ, especially since you want summer and not winter.. they'll eat you alive if you tell them that. When they offer it to you it's either take it or ask to remain on the waitlist.. which won't guarantee you getting in for the next round.
Just called the oh-so-useless newfoundland labour of newfoundland... apparently I CAN get let go or fire for wanting to join the military. Yup. Straight from the lions mouth. I can be terminated as long as they give me a single weeks notice. I hate newfoundland law so much.
Um, no I didn't take anything. They didn't get away with it either, as I got my job back in the end but left it as said.. due to poor conditions I already detaiiled. This is entirely differently, so I suggest you think before you type accusing me of "bending over". And thank you AlphaBravo for...

With this service the intent was they wanted...

Was wondering if an employer can fire, let you go, reduce hours, or force you to sign...
Putting my 2 cents in.
Had my interview the other day, recruiter asked me which element I signed up for, I said Army. He said my file said Navy and was pondering why I wanted army as the only difference for med techs is the uniform. I explained to him I'd prefer it, and he jumped on the...
Hello. Ive been trying to find information on outcan postings but have been having trouble finding itnon the forums and through google.
One of my main goals in the military would to do a European outcan posting. A pipe dream for someone green I know. Im wondering if people have had better luck...
I was going to say... to be honest they have hundreds of applicants who apply for infantry, armoured, and artilary. To me it sounds like the recruiters were trying to push you in to a more technical, more needed role. Glad you ended up choosing those roles :).
Thanks for th quick responses.
I just assumed that with a large intake of infantry being taken on they'd naturally take on other trades to support them. Seems I was a little off the mark. But on the other hand, I was just cleared for paperwork and PLAR and given an interview right away.. so...
