Thank you for you quick response. Coincidently I got a call earlier saying the PLAR came back golden and that I'm set for an interview in a week and a half :).
Lol, all you infantry getting in.. congratulations to you all.
Thought I would give a shout out to the Med Techs here. Just got my PLAR done and getting my interview. File manager said they're getting med techs done and ready for intake soon.
Thought I'd ponder on the recent intake of many new infantrymen.
With the large intake of infantry this week, I was wondering if there will be anymore accompying trades that will have large hiring pools.. such as med techs, veh. techs., or any other NCM supportive role to accomodate the...
Hello,
Just got a quick question in regards to the PLAR. I graduated from a college program that the Canadian Forces sends their subsidized members to take. Though I wasn't in the military, I still took the program. In terms of the PLAR, do they look for anything different if it was a military...
Thought I would poke my head back in after 3-4 months of being MIA from the website. Any ears on Med Tech selections? My file manager doesn't have a pulse on anything till oct/nov, wanted to know if anyone else has heard something similar regarding Med techs.
Haven't post on the forums in forever. I would have to heavily agree that it depends what you want in life. Personally I went the civilian medic route first for my own personal growth before pursuing the military.
You still have to get merit listed or offered the position. Unless you're doing the Co-op through your school.... then they just push you through for the course.
Largly is RC dependent I'm finding. My roommate has his app in Barrie and isn't told anything.. while on the other hand my RC has been very forthcoming with information and even gives me fairly accurate time frames.
Haha thanks, unforunately I'm still getting the work around form them but.. work is work I suppose.
I actually called them today and was on the phone with them for a good hour about my application. It was actually a pretty good conversation. I missed the May intake, but I was told that I...
Nice. Smart move on continuing the PCP stuff, it'll help out in the long run.
I too had weapons tech as a choice, but it was taken off since I wanted Med Tech more. I actually called them today and was on the phone with them for a good hour about my application, if I wanted to do weapons tech...
Nice. I missed the May intake, but I was told today that I should expect a phone call from them for the June/July intake for med techs. They are still getting my background check and PLAR done, but they assured me that once they get the ok from Halifax I'll be pulled in.
From my understanding, and how a recruiter explained it to me pertaining to my application, this is how I understood it:
Skilled means you have both outside training as well as prior military training
Semi-skilled means you have outside training/education pertaining to the trade you want. Since...
Going to have to agree with Sarah on that one. I usually check every few days myself, and it must've changed today. I believe it means they have received enough applicants, so they no longer offer it. It's unfortunate for a lot of people on these forums, but should contact your RC since you have...
Lol.... as some of you have already read... I know that feeling quite well -_-.
Wonder how that game was, played the series a little bit but never got full into it. My roommate though.. jesus... balls deeps with Skyrim.
The trick to those interview questions is to say "Succssful, well off...
Damn everyone here just trains hardcore in their spare time lol.
I just work a lot, go to the gym 4-5 times a week, and have a brew·ski every now and then. Outside of that, sit around and watch netflix or game a bit.
If you were sworn in already you don't have to worry, they'll call you when it's time. From what I've heard you do BMQ within 30 days of being sworn in.
