    SigOp overseas

Actualy I was out on the road in Kabul almost every day. I was there as a dispatch rider or SDS driver so I never worked in a CP the whole tour. Sigs can spend lots of time out and about or they can never leave the camp, it all depends on your job within the trade.

    Deployment

Actually, for Roto 0 they gave everyone who needed it a blanket clearance. It was only god for the length of the tour but it allowed everyone to go.

On Roto 0 all us SDS guys (dispatch riders) got sidearms after pleading for a shorter weapon to carry in our SUVs. The sigs who are  currently ramping up for Roto 4 are all taking Brownings with them.

    Issued Tac Vest

Black Watch,   Long and the short of it is most units don't use the vest in Arctic/winter dress. Thats what the big pockets on winter dress are for.

War Museum Controversy and Follow-up Thread [merged]

I am more than happy to oppose my " bosses" on this one. I do have to admit though that after reading some of the posts here that I find myself torn. On one hand I have already sent off an e-mail and I feel like I need to withdraw any support I had for this museum, on the other hand I feel...

War Museum Controversy and Follow-up Thread [merged]

Is it just me or does this country have an undying need to beat itself up and punish itself forever for it's mistakes instead of honouring it's triumphs and great deeds? I do believe in the phase "lest we forget" but this still rings badly for my ears. :salute:
