MP's also get the same training for specialized courses that their civilian counterparts get, from OPC, CPC and so on....  CF members should feel safe and confident in having a specialized police service that is trained specifically for their needs and not having civi. services deal with issues...

Have you checked the local police supply store here? You can usually find some older "models" there for a fairly reasonable price.  Personally, mine are going on two years and still in good shape.  I'll pm you with the company, i wouldn't want to break any advertising rules here  ;)

I've been on that site too and it seems it's like pulling teeth to have a civi. officer admit the above. You'll see some people constantly asking about it and saying that they want to use MP as a stepping stone..ridiculous...sure, some have their reasons, but show some loyalty and integrity...
