AndrewCore: I think you might have a great deal of difficulty finding actual first hand experience about this topic, since the issue of integration of trans soldiers is somewhat new. Particularly finding FTM experience, as it's even less common. The few soldiers I have heard of who have...

Hamid Karzai has been accused of trying to win votes in Afghanistan's presidential election by backing a law the UN says legalises rape within marriage and bans wives from stepping outside their homes without their...
I still don't think the question has been answered. Yes, your CoC can order you to attend a mess function, but can they order you to spend your own money to be there? I don't think there's anything in the CFAOs to give a definitive answer on this... anyone?
Doing a 3 hour parade in July in a wool uniform while not being able to watch where you're going and still be able to play complicated quick marches sucks, no matter who you are. Unless you're the bass drum, in which case add a leopard skin and about 30 pounds to that, and the suck factor...
Depends on the band. Some are at a much higher level and may have higher standards than the band you left. In theory, if you transfer, they should be required to accept you, but as with any transfer, it's always in your best interests to get in touch with the gaining unit before the transfer...
Please take the time to familiarize yourself with the search function on this site, as these, and likely every other question you might have has probably already been asked and answered a dozen times already.

There are about a thousand questions that would need to be answered before any consideration of job protection and equal pay can be considered.
1. Does job protection = mandatory deployments?
2. Would there be protection for reservists whose employers manage to fire them anyway (as happens all...
It's highly unlikely that, even if there is anyone here who has any personal experiences that they would be both willing and able to talk to you about them without some major OPSEC violations. Also, considering that you would be unable to verify the stories of people who send you an e-mail (we...
OK, let's be honest, who here (particularly Engineers, Pioneers and other explosive-minded types) could not think of a dozen ways, right off the top of your head to either smuggle a weapon on board a plane, or smuggle enough explosives to do some serious damage?
A teenager with a 4th grade...
Bigfoot85: Welcome to army.ca. You would be very well advised to do a lot of reading for the next while, and make use of the search function as this question ( among the many others you will probably have) have been answered many, many times already.
Add me to the long list of NREs already present.
A year and a half ago, I attended the consecration of my regimental colours at a church. It occurred directly after the Remembrance Day services, in fact we were marched there right from the cenotaph, so this is probably the closest you can get...
Part of the requirements to get nominated for course is to be medically and physically fit. If you're not, you won't get to go. If you pretend you aren't injured, you will just hurt yourself further, and the military will not assume responsibility if you had a previous injury.
Best to wait out...
I don't know what kind of brace you're using, but I've used both the soft tensor variety, and the hard plastic lace-up variety and they will both fit inside a combat boot. You may need to loosen off the laces quite a bit, and jimmy your foot in, but it will definitely fit - I've been wearing...
Last report I heard about Capt Greene's condition is that he is continuing to improve. He is apparently conscious and able to open his eyes and read, but he has not been able to communicate verbally as of yet.
Slow and steady, but he is getting better.
