    F-22 or F-35

If Raptors were dedicated to NORAD Canada would have as good a chance to acquire the aircraft as any US ally, I'd like to see a split buy of F-22's and F-35B STOVL to replace CF-18's  but it's unlikely to happen.

Boeing to shut down C-17 production

Canada should order a couple more C17's for 2009  with options on an additional pair, even if it delays C130J or FWSAR programs.

    The CC-130-J Hercules Merged Thread

If we order A400M's, in lieu of C-130J,  will have to buy additional C-17's to replace the C-130's that have to be retired before the A400M's can be delivered. More C-17's will be fine with me, I believe Boeing has funded 10 more unsold C-17's to take production till 2010.

    Future Armour

Could the next German tank be the Lion? The roadwheels on the Swiss Leopard do not appear to be standard. Will Canada acquire the Kodiak AEV of the Leopard or for that matter ABRV like those used by British and Dutch Marines? When will a western government cough up some dough to develop and...

    FWSAR (CC130H, Buffalo, C27J, V22): Status & Possibilities

This seems to be a two horse race, but could a SAR version of the USN's Grumman COD aircraft fill Canada's requirements. The production line is currently building E-2D Hawkeye's but a few COD types should not be a problem, the USN will be due for another batch of COD types once there Hawkeye buy...

Extreme heat in army tanks endangers troops; forces use tank blanket to keep troops from baking

What will become of C2's in Afghanistan. any chance of turning them over to Afghan army with German consent of course. The cost of flying them back to Canada seems prohibitive.
