Here's your definitive answer....from a serving MP.  You WILL be promoted to acting/lacking Corporal upon graduation from your BMQ at St. Jean.  You WILL NOT receive spec pay until you get your QL5 qualification.......clear as mud?

You have to have your QL5 for spec pay in the MP trade now, so you'll be receiving standard Cpl pay.

I totally agree with you on this one.  I suspect that any answer to that question will be forthcoming and not insulting to our intelligence at all!

Has nothing to do with Pte's not getting his or her due with regards to respect from other ranks and trades.  Any half decent MP who has a brain and knows how to tactfully talk to people without pulling a power trip can garner tons of respect.  The reason why Pte's are made up to acting/lacking...

When a trade shows red, usually means that its numbers are low and remustering out of it is, unless your going to another red trade, verbotten.  It can happen but rare.  I think the numbers are something like 85 percent under strength makes it red. Im sure someone who actually knows the numbers...
