My freinds in the nearest unit who are all Cpl's Sgts say they make fun of the new recruits and privates just so they dont get made fun of. Apparently youre not allowed to be nice.

When in the recruting process is the whole "cadet" thing going to come into play. I want to join but i really dont want to do cadets. No disrespect to cadets its just im a little to busy to do the whole thing especially if youre *treated* like a di*k

I was watching the news and it turns out one of the sailors on that sub died. Aparrently the fire was way worse than thought of at first.Id like to send best wishes to the family and my prayers to the other members of the sub
i was watching Platoon on the history channel a month or so back and they interviewed a guy after the movie. He was a Vietnam vet and he was a Canadian. I was wondering if anyone has heard of the book There it is: A Candian in Vietnam. I dont know his name but the book sounds good.

He was in the artillery (not sure which unit) for basically his whole life starting at 12! Served in Battle of Britain and then later in the war was sent to Holland. After that served until 60's when Canadas Army started to get cut down with budgets etc. Anyone heard of him?
Ive got a question, may seem a little dumb but if a sub has no power how does the thing stay afloat? Also it said on the news something like a tug was coming to get them. What are they doing about the smoke inhalation victims?
