The problem with trying to do "open bidding" but only allowing 2-3 domestic competitors is you're very likely to get bid rigging and inflated profiteering.  On some of these national security type contracts where we are politically saying "we must source from domestic sources" I would argue it...

In the RFP process, does the Navy have the right to request bid amendments from individual bidders to address shortcomings that although not disqualifying the design, may make it less than ideal?  Or are they locked in to specifically the design in the original bid made?

Just was look in general at renderings. Is it just appearance or is BAE helicopter deck significantly larger than Alion or Navantia designs?

Is anyone else baffled by the lack of NATO support for the Kurds given their contribution in destroying ISIS? First abandoning them to the Iranian PMF's in Iraq, and now to Erdogan whose ethnic-cleansing comments (as well as previous documented support for ISIS) are frankly quite terrifying. ???

As long as people are citing texts or quoting imams accurately, I think criticism of aspects of Islam are 100% justified and in fact are overdue. 

In that presentation it lista the JSS at $1.25 billion more per ship ($C2 billion vs $C650 million) Can anyone elaborate on the primary contributing structures or technologies which are pointed to in order to justify that price differential? Many thanks in advance....
