They are fairly general but you still choose your program at the end of your first year. Both the junior and senior first years at RMCSJ will pick the degree they would like to pursue near the end of the academic year.
I'm not sure about a double major but I know people who have done a major and a minor. I can't really expand too much as these decisions are usually on a case by case basis depending on your grades and what programs your looking at.
You must take a 40 credit major as an ROTP/RETP student. UTP's are allowed to take the 30 credit degree's if they choose to do so (trade caveats apply).
Sorry, this in incorrect. You start specializing in your second year so you will pick what program you want at the end of your first year...
I had suggested to the MARS career people that a virtual NOAB consisting of videos and such would be a good idea for ROTP students as they do not currently do NOAB. I hope they didn't decide to take my idea too seriously and apply it forces wide...
As mentioned by clarkyo, I would apply sooner rather then later. The earlier you apply the more time you and the recruiting staff have time to correct any mistakes. People who apply earlier don`t really have an advantage over those who apply later. That being said, if they apply so late that...
Yes it is. There are a couple of other conditions to the enrollment that I can`t remember word for word but was something along the lines of still being in good medical condition.
I don`t know exactly how they weigh your grades but they will look at your grade 11 marks for sure. They usually...
Just double checked. The rates have gone up a bit.
It ranges from 97.50$ to 111$ for a room with a roommate. Single rooms go from 175$ to 202$.
All of these rooms include internet.
Rations are 502.46$
Quarters are 109.50$ if you have a roommate, more if you have a single room.
This is probably going up a percentage or two if it hasn't already.
I think you missed the part where I said that I didn't necessarily think that you didn't deserve it. I take issue with the people who joined the reserves simply to get a pay advantage for when they got to RMC. I'm talking about the people who didn't do any courses and were in the reserves for a...
1. You'll have a reduced width sized locker and if your lucky a little more storage somewhere else. Some people manage to bring bikes and such on-board but don't take that as a given.
2. Army.ca....... ;D
Err, you can also work out and do some professional development stuff. Movies are good...
As mentioned above, the first thing you need to make sure of is that your eligible. As long as your have taken enough pre-university level courses in high school then you should be good. If not, then make sure you college program will meet the requirements for you to transfer to a university...
Just realize how "lucky" you are compared to all the other ROTP students who are not getting all that money. That's not to say that you deserve it or not its just that a lot of people at RMC don't think its justified.
Most RMC students and ROTP Civi U students will receive quite a bit more...
If only that were true. When I was a cadet people were denied Power based solely on the fact that they wouldn't of been able to "share" their new found skills. They were told this right to their faces.
Last I heard it was official but I haven't heard anything more about it all summer. I'm not surprised the PSP don't like it but IMO it does make more sense. Having a PPT right after Christmas does suck for a lot of people. Gotta give people the time to get rid of all the Turkey they stored over...
