Nice to see her back in the water after all this time.
Yes that standard is a good start. Only getting those minimums will, however, not allow your to pass the RMC PPT (PT test). The test is point based and getting the minimum on everything only gets you 230 points (from what I remember) and you need 250 to pass.
I heard the same thing.
Staff at RMC.
It was also mentioned that CMR may act as a second Recruit Camp location if CFLRS cannot accommodate all the new ROTP students this summer.
I must also stress that nothing is 100% official until its written down and distributed to the recruiting centres.
Yes prepare in advance. Trust me it will be easier on you when you get here if your already in shape.
For all those interested in knowing, this years Recruit Camp is likely going to be run from the CFLRS aka the Mega.
Yes reunion weekend is the whole weekend. You should be allowed to leave the campus with your family after the obstacle course. No there is no limit as to how many guests one can invite up. Your guests will stay where ever they can find a place to sleep. If it's their car then that's their...
No. I'm guessing they probably got some fighter pilots who hadn't done CAPSS before to give it a whirl. CAPSS hasn't existed forever so not every pilot in the CF has done it.
They look at your whole application when deciding who to give an offer to. Your whole application means your interview...
You must be able to express yourself clearly and concisely as a member of the Canadian Forces and especially as an officer. That's all their trying to say.
Good luck with your application. If accepted, you will have four years at one of the finest educational institutions in the country to hone...
Yes or you can continue taking the same workload as everyone else and have a much lighter fourth year. I would recommend that as your graduation year can be rather rather hectic. The PLAR department and the academic department will try their best to set you up for success so I wouldn't be overly...
Your wish is my command :P

It's not a direct follow on from the other one but its still about the same subject.
Sorry about the drift into CAPSS talk...
Simulators/real planes can help but only to a certain degree. The CAPSS simulator that they use at aircrew is very unique. Like I said before I know a lot of private pilots and some commercial pilots who had a real hard time with it. Your ability to learn and correct for you mistakes is...
Yep. If you have enough credits that are deemed transferable to RMC then you may request to be bumped up a year status. So if you have enough credits you can graduate in 3 years vs 4.
NO!!! It will help you with knowing the instruments and the basic flying skills but I know of commercial pilots who have failed aircrew. It's not only about your current skill level its also about how fast you can learn and adapt.
When I did it 9 people out of 12 failed. I was one of the lucky...
Your average is already good but keep working hard to improve it. This is obviously also important for other university's you apply for as well. In terms of improving your application, just keeping busy and involved is a good start. Having a job, volunteering and playing sports (preferably team...
If I read your post correctly, your hoping to be accepted so that you start school in September 2012? If so, you do not need to apply for ROTP (not ROTC) until next fall (I think the actual deadline is sometime in December or early January but it changes every year). If so, you wouldn't end up...
Agreed. I know plenty of people who took French immersion who aren't even close to being bilingual. That being said, if you get accepted you will be tested in your second official language to see just how bilingual you are.
As someone who has taken Acutane I understand fully well what the medication can/does to you. I stopped my treatment a good year or two before applying so I do not know if it will affect your application. I agree with taerakwon that the side effects might be serious enough to affect you...
