There's no PT test at the CFRC when applying to the Regular Force. We did, however, get tested soon after we arrived (at least in St-Jean we did).

If I remember the numbers from last year correctly, there were approximately 5000 applicants and about 500 spots for all of ROTP (including Civi U). Hopefully the number of spots increase as RMC Saint-Jean gets up to capacity.

Its basically CEGEP one and two. CEGEP two being equivalent to 1st year university.

I'll consider myself lucky then. First years in St-Jean are not required to be in uniform on Friday's and Saturday's while in town.

Your not supposed to leave until 1600. Even if you have spares like me... Your "required" to be in uniform during the weekend?

Another thing to consider is that RMC Saint-Jean is now reopened. What this means is that you can end up there for prep year and first year or just for the first year. Contrary to popular belief, we are around 50-50 when it comes to who's French and who's English. The way classes work in St-Jean...

My acceptance letter says RMC St-Jean because it was written in English. If I were referring to St-Jean in a spoken conversation I would say "CMR" or "RMC St-Jean". Normally I say CMR unless the person doesn't know what that is.

Really. Your the first person that I know of who has been told that your spending the entire 4 years at RMC St-Jean.

Well, after 4 years in cadets I am now officially retired as of Sunday. I finished my cadet career this past weekend by winning the Eastern Region Air Cadet Drill Competition in Quebec City. What an experience that was. I shall miss cadets very much but every good thing has to come to an end...

Nope. I'm in the same boat as you are. I don't think being French has anything to do with going to CMR as  've heard of a few people going to CMR that know little to know French.

I was told they are sending some arts students to St-Jean for a year due to a lack of beds at RMC.

Received the call today for ROTP Sea Ops! One year at St-Jean followed by three at RMC.  ;D

My file manager told me to call him in early May if I don't receive a call before then. On a second note, the second ROTP board sat last week. News from that board should hopefully be out soon.
