    ROTP 2008-2009

Yeah, that's why I want to wait. They said you can opt out a the end of BOTC if you so choose, and so I'd definitely like to give everything my best shot. I still have high hopes that things turn out the way I wanted them to, I was just having a momentary crisis because I have too much free time...

    ROTP 2008-2009

I agree that those 3 trades are related. You are in command of some sort of vehicle/ vessel in each case in some way. Of course pilots and armour officers are in command of their vehicles sooner than a MARS gets control of a ship but that's besides the point. Personally I have been going...

The Story of an Engineer from Mississauga

Also, the vision requirements for the Air Nav are lower than those of the pilot, so if you don't meet the requirements for pilot, check with the CFRC about your second choice before feeling defeated.

    Recognition at high school graduation

I got the offer to do that, however since I've already been graduated from highschool for a year, the option didn't apply, but it is an option available here anyways.

    ROTP 2008-2009

Yes Air Ops contains the careers Pilot, Air Nav, and AEC. Then there are sections like Air Support, which would be jobs in the logistics department. There is also a general engineering category last I heard, and I'm not sure what else. Land and Sea have the same set up as well with Operations...

    ROTP 2008-2009

If you were already in the PRes, doesn't that mean you've been sworn in already? If that's the case then they wouldn't do it again I don't think. You would probably just get your info package and be on your way. Congrats on getting an offer as a NO though!

    ROTP 2008-2009

Good to meet another air person. I've been selected for Air Support. :D No I don't think that's something to laugh at, without air support, air OPS don't get to fly or.... sit in the control tower if you happen to want AEC like I did haha.

Are you going to RMC? Or are you going to a Civ University SMP? Enrolment depends on where abouts you are from as well.

    ROTP 2008-2009

Hey everyone, this is a thread started for all of you who are starting the ROTP program this fall. I'm not just talking about the people going to RMC, but those of us who are going to Civ U as well. This would be a good place to introduce ourselves and get to know this class of ROTP candidates...

A two year set back or a chance to try something else?

Congratulations on qualifying for all your trades Dolphado! A lot of us can relate to how good it feels to walk out of the recruiting center with them having said "Congratulations, you qualified for all your choices." Go out and celebrate! :D

A two year set back or a chance to try something else?

As far as I know there is no age cap. The name of the company may be "young" drivers, but I know there was a 28 year old in my class for the practical stuff, so I don't think it matters.

A two year set back or a chance to try something else?

If you took Young Drivers they would provide a car for the day of your road test as well. Just in case you want to take driving training anyways.

    Just begun the Application Process

I agree, university is a great choice for anyone. It's not even about the piece of paper you get from it, but you can take some really fascinating stuff there that you would never have even thought you had an interest in. Even if it's useless knowledge, you might be really keen on it, and <gasp>...

Battlestar Galactica (Beware....Possible SPOILERS! read at your own risk)

I feel really bad for Tyrol and Tigh because we have known them since the start of the series. Each of them really is having a breakdown in their own way and it's almost painful. Then again all the people who went with Starbuck are having their own problems too.

I still think Cally should have punched the airlock while she had the chance to get Tory as well :P That was pretty damn heartless.

Recruiting Posters, Slogans and Commercials [Merged]

I love those new videos, I think they are just as good, or even better as the other fight videos. Also, the new website is pretty awesome.
