Did anyone swear into the reserves in Mississauga/Toronto?

Good day, I was wondering if anyone had been sworn in yet in the GTA region for the reserves, specifically the Lorne Scots. I'm still waiting to be sworn in, but my enrollment papers were signed according to the CFRC.

    File potentially lost?

I did a little of my own research and MAXIMUM Canada Post take's 5 days to ship for normal shipping from Toronto to Brampton. Im really concerned now as I've been told the my unit has my file by CFRC July 23rd, but the unit doesn't.

Just enrolled in reserves... I think.

Mate there is the CFAT, Interview, Physical, Medical testings. Your looking at a good 3-6 month (from my own experience) wait period before you swear in if suc cessful in the mentioned testings.

    File potentially lost?

Good day everyone, I completed my testings and was emailed saying I had been merit listed July 16th, and that my file is now with my unit I'm applying to. This was sent to my July 25th from the captain at the CFRC. I contacted my unit today (Augest 06) and the recruiter of my unit told me he...

I was in contact with the unit recruiter 1 week ago in which he told me he didn't see my file yet.

    Dreams about "getting the call"

I don''t want to "annoy" the recruiter at the unit. I emailed him a couple times in regards to my file and he told me to wait patiently as he checked the orderly room and didn't see my file. That's when I called the CFRC Toronto 3 days later to check if my file was sent and they said it's now...

    Dreams about "getting the call"

Im currently just waiting to get the call to swear into my unit, as my file is now with my local reserve unit and it's been there since July 25th. I keep getting dreams of me getting the call and accepting it, but I wake up and it's all a dream. Today is a parade night for the unit... I hope I...

Permanent resident - application process and PRESEC clearance

My best advice to you Duc Viet, and I am no expert so you don't need to take my advice, but I would just go to my local CFRC and sit down with a recruiter in person and ask all these questions. The recruiters jobs at the CFRC are to help potential recruits in starting the process, and they are...

Permanent resident - application process and PRESEC clearance

Did you not read my post above? That is from one of the reserve units. The criteria applies to the general enrollment into the Reserves. Sorry to burst your bubble buddy but it said they are non-negotiable.

Permanent resident - application process and PRESEC clearance

You can only join the reserves if you are a Canadian Citizen. The same enrollment requirements are applied to the reserves, as they are part of the CAF.

    Reserves and Co-op: Why?

The co op program is only available for high school students. It is a course that proves 2-4 credits depending on the unit. If you are not enrolled in a secondary school, you are disqualified from this program.

    Looking for input!

Good day, My 2 cents in what I can give you based on my own experience with the process is that the process is much longer than 4 weeks. Considering the CFRC has to schedule you in for your tests, complete security checks in order to provide you with enhanced reliability status, the time frame...

Permanent resident - application process and PRESEC clearance

I was born in America but lived in Canada my whole life, the PRESEC only took 2 weeks for me. Sucks that you have to wait 1.5-2 years  but trust me it is worth it in the end. Good luck buddy. Edit: The CFRC Cannot process anything unless the requirements are met.  I asked the CFRC to process my...

    Medical Question

Good day, I did my medical on July 2nd and passed with no request paper or anything of that sort needed of me to retrieve and send to them. I called the CFRC to see if I was merit listed and they said my medical is being reviewed by a medical officer in Ottawa. My question is isn't a medical...

Some questions about applying for and joining the reserves

Hey buddy, I will be happy to share all the information I have on the process of enrollment into the reserves as I have been through it and almost finished it. First off, find a unit that you would like to join, as for me, I applied for the Lorne Scots A coy infantry unit. Once you found a unit...
