    My plan

Well as some of you know that I'm planning to enter the CF as a full-time Medical Tech, I've been working out how exactly to do that; via the NCM SEP, go to school get the diploma and PCP cert then apply, direct entry out of secondary school or lastly apply for a Reserve position whilst I attend...

As a med tech, is it still possible to pursue university studies?

In my opinion (I do also believe it is supported by a majority on this forum) get the post secondary education I don't know how programs for Paramedic are out west but if there is a PCP Cert and Diploma program I'd try to get the Diploma, not to mention it would give you time to mature and...

As a med tech, is it still possible to pursue university studies?

Oh, I see, quite the career development: SAR Tech, Pilot and Med Tech. Regarding that program could it be used to apply for a NCM Medical Tech position as 'semi-skilled'? Because it seems its either a two year college bit with a diploma or you can go onto four years to get a University degree.

As a med tech, is it still possible to pursue university studies?

There is also some Paramedic programs that are offered through a joint Uni-College degree (such as Centennial and University of Toronto's Paramedic program). Also if you're not in the CF yet and want to go to school and be a Med Tech, ask about the Education plans. Thats all I got on the subject...

Ex Trident Fury 13 photos and video

Definitely a LBT 6094 or a Eagle Ind MMAC, I wonder if the guy had armour inserts in it, the picture doesn't really tell. Seems like the Recce elements are a little more lenient with kit.

    13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment [France]

Yeah its their heritage, they originally were a Dragoons Regimented raised in 1676, the regiment's duties changed during the Second World War into long range patrolling and reconnaissance. Granted the idea of parachuting dragoons would be something to see in action.  ;D

    13th Parachute Dragoon Regiment [France]

Scary thing about 13th RDP is that its a Regimental sized Special Operations unit dedicated to Special Reconnaissance (specifically HUMINT). Goes to show that some commands value HUMINT a lot more than others.

Are Combat Engineer a Combat Arm?

Is this a trick question? How can one be called Combat Engineer is not a combat role trade?

U.S. Marine rapid response force deploying to Spain base

Well, the USMCs Special Operations Capable units tend to be just the MEUs that qualify for SOC, Marine Reconnaissance and the FAST teams. On the other side of that the USMC do fill the QRF role quite nicely because their aviation tends to all be in-house or supplied by the Navy if on ship. In...

Light Helmets (from: Future Canadian Airborne Capability and Org)

Its their new issued helmet since late 2011 and it has been approved by SOCOM/USASOC for Airborne Operations, granted I couldn't find any pictures where you could make out the rangers helmets when they were jumping. As for the new Spectra helmet, did they look at the Ops-Core H-nape? heard...

Light Helmets (from: Future Canadian Airborne Capability and Org)

75th RR has used them for static line jumps since they are issued now along with their MICH helmets. Also they have a new chute down south too don't they? T-11 I believe they are known as? Be interesting to see what features and improvements it has.
