They call your references to find out about your character, whether you're a reliable, generally good person. Also, your credit history is checked (to make sure you're not running from $30000 of debt or a Mob loan shark) along with your criminal history, for the obvious reason.

lol pretty much. I'm keeping an eye on the whole trade merger. I'm just gunna ride it out and see how it goes. Either way, I'm glad that I'm in. This is what I've been waiting so long for  :)

Barbarossa, I'm in the process of applying for LCIS also. I've been in the process since June 2. Waited until July 12 for my CFAT/Medical/Interview, and now I'm waiting again. But take this phrase, and repeat it to yourself everyday... "Be patient." I'm not trying to come off as an a**, but...

The thought of knowing what I'm doing, and the associated pride of knowing I'm serving :cdn: is what keeps me motivated. You gotta really be doing this for the right reasons (Not doubting yours), and if you are, any wait of time will be worth it.

My bad, I misunderstood that lol.

What I meant was that the LCIS position is the only one available (Which is my #1 choice). So they would be offering me that position inevitably  ;D I should've made that a little clearer.
