I think this is being looked at, but I'm not certain as I'm not in the inner circle of discussion anymore. Last I talked with the G&SF HQ though there was discussion of having her trip a combined event with other organizations, although I didn't quite catch specifics on what other groups may be...
This I know. The process has been in the works since 2011 to get the G&SF new Colours. One of the biggest questions still unanswered is whether Her Royal Highness Princess Anne is able to make it over here this September, and where the funding is coming from to pay for Her trip.
+1 for sure! A true testament to what you can accomplish with hard work, determination and a never quit positive attitude. Looking at the TP for the Air Assault course it is definitely something that any soldier needs to be physically and mentally fit to overcome, so for him to do this is a...
Always love seeing Regimental pride and history in the public eye. My Regiment the Foresters are looking to get new Colours hopefully this year or next, and it's a once in a lifetime event that I intend to be a part of.
Congratulations 3RCR!
Also not an Engineer, but with most courses the way in which you fail will be taken into account. If it's for medical reasons a recourse is usually in the cards, unless your medical employment limitations (MEL) mean that you can no longer be employed within your trade. I know of guys that have...
These captions cracked me up. I think my favourite was the Busborne one "this poor fella's lookin at having some twists".
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't guilty of the army type bag being worn in civvies. But discussing/mocking my patches is a step too far!
Milpoints inbound for the extreme truth of your statement.
My wife has a degree in Psychology and Social Work, I joke with her that she married me so she could have a real life case study to report on if she ever decided to do her Masters.
The direction that we have received is that the new FORCE PT test will be mandatory for all pers, but for Army personnel the BFT is still required for this FY as the required PT test. If a member does not pass the FORCE test (at least in the Army) no remedial measures will be put in place since...
This is just despicable. Regardless of where anyone stands on the governments decisions of where they send soldiers, attacking mourning civillians during a parade to honour those killed overseas is lower than low. There's a special spot reserved in hell for these types of people.
This about sums up my feelings on the whole situation. The CAF is at a point where any loss of equipment comes at a horrible time. I'm just glad no one was seriously injured or killed.

This is a Russian Military plan to see about the ability for them to invade Canada via ground in a remote area that does not always have a lot of satellite coverage. Start working on your Russian people, the end is nigh!

Pretty amazing feat to...
I haven't heard of anything at other bases, but I did hear about this a few weeks ago. One of our guys has a daughter that is posted to Halifax and she has had to do a few duty watches on the gate.
Did not know what type of vessels these were or their purpose. For anyone interested there wasn't a lot of info on wiki but link included http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porte_class_gate_vessel
Sad to see these former RCN vessels in such a state.
