    Shacks For Dennison Armoury Posting?

I was attached posted to Dennison Armoury for 6mo, then anther 6 mo, then another.  :) The part that's the worst is not getting the PLD; living in TO can get expensive.  I rented a shoe box of an apartment in North York then I found a better spot in Roncesvailles village (so south and west of...

Single Quarters & Rations (R&Q) [MERGED]

From my experience, several years old now, I didn't get anything on my attached postings.  I was single and had no dependents at the time though. Hope you can get something....  I also thought that they couldn't "attach post" someone for more that 6mo. at a time...

    Questions Regarding the Armoured Reserves

If my memory is good, the QY Rangers are armoured and are out of Fort York.  That would be closer to you.

    BMQ Reserves 2010 - 2017

Consider this.  Class A reservist - CO says everyone will attend the Remembrance Day parade; if unable to attend you are directed to submit a memo.  Reservist decides last minute they don't feel like going.  AWOL?  Disobeying a direct order?  Chargeable offence?  I think so.

Hard times for the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo

I brought my hubby down to see the Tattoo this year.  I had seen it quite a few times as a kid so I told him about a few of the traditional acts but I went on and on about the gun run.  We got to the end of the show and no gun run!  We were disappointed -almost felt like we got jipped.  When...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

In my experience (and I've been on both sides), I believe each couple needs to determine who's career will come first in the relationship.  As an army wife, I know that my career will always depend on where my husband is posted.  This means less options, less security and on occasion less...

    DMedPol Question

But do I have to wait for the paperwork to come back?  I've tried looking for a reference that directly relates to this.  All I see is that they need the CF2033 to process the paperwork.  I don't think that doc gets finalized until DMedPol goes through it.... If anyone knows a way around this...

    DMedPol Question

I'm eligible to be promoted but on my medical, I've been told my medical category is changing to G3 O3 and has to go to DMedPol.  If the recommendation is still within my occupational standards, can this hold me up?

    Charge, command and control

I've been all over the OOD package, CSO's, online training, brow pack and I don't recall seeing that reference or phrase.  I'm overly geeky, so I've studied everything.  :)  I did have some concerns as to how this OOD training was set up, but I'm a big girl and I should be able to seek out the...

    Charge, command and control

I've been working through some practice questions for my Officer Of the Day board and there is one I'm stuck on: Define:  Charge, command and control.  This seems to be leading me to think this is a phrase that is a common military phrase/theme (although I've never heard of it).  Does anyone...

    Transferring to another unit (RESERVE)

I took a look through the DAOD's and QR&O's for references related to moving between reserve units. Specifically is there anything out there for purple trades switching between primary reserve elements? I'm looking into moving to an army unit but keeping my navy uniform.... Thanks if you can...

Foresters get a silver ring for their pinky too, similar to the engineers iron ring (but better  :D ) They are provided to graduates by the Canadian Institute of Forestry.

I'd contact your local reserve unit now and ask if there is an opening.  Either way, applications can take a long time to process.  Better start sooner rather than later....
