I took a look through the DAOD's and QR&O's for references related to moving between reserve units. Specifically is there anything out there for purple trades switching between primary reserve elements? I'm looking into moving to an army unit but keeping my navy uniform.... Thanks if you can...

I'd contact your local reserve unit now and ask if there is an opening.  Either way, applications can take a long time to process.  Better start sooner rather than later....
