    Application Process Samples [2003 - 2018]

Well, my story starts in July of 2010, when I made my first attempt at applying to the Canadian Forces. I was informed by the recruiter that none of my selected trades were open and that in fact no viable trades for my individual level of education were open. I was disappointed, but I had...

What book are you reading now?

The Gathering Storm - Winston Churchill First volume of six in his memoir of the events leading up to WW2 and the circumstances that directly caused it. Haven't gotten too far yet...but I'm impressed so far with the  fluidity of his storytelling. Even the dry passages are easy to read. any...

You won't be a pilot in the CF without perfect uncorrected vision. Unless things have changed since I looked into it last, laser eye surgery is still a no go for prospective CF pilots.

    File expiry after one year?

I'm not 100% certain if this is what you are referring to but the medical/interview phases of the application process expire one year from their initial date.

    Problems with access key ?

See that's exactly where I read that I needed reference letters as well...it took like a month for 2 reliable people to write good letters and when I tried to apply the recruiter was almost flabbergasted at the fact that I had reference letters. If it gives you peace of mind, by all means get...

    Problems with access key ?

Can't help you with the access key problem...but when I applied I noticed that I needed 2 letters of reference, had them written for me, and when I actually handed in my paperwork at the Recruiting Centre I was told that they were not needed. I don't quite remember if the recruiter even took...

ADHD, ADD, and why we can't get in rants......

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but having just completed my medical, I was required to get my physician to sign a form stating I did not have ADHD. I was never diagnosed and have never been on medication, but if the circumstances were different, I was informed that I would likely be...

Vision Questions Megathread, Categories, Problems etc.

During my medical I was given a vision test with an without my prescription lenses. I remember reading somewhere that anyone within the V3 or V4 category would have to provide a copy of their current prescription. I was not asked for this. Does this mean I am V2 or is there a waiting period on...

    Questions about updating my file

Goderich, eh? Irrelevant but I heard it was pretty bad. I agree with the prior posts. There's no reason why you shouldnt be able to update your file. You have the right to create an advantage for yourself over other applicants. That's the whole point of competition is it not?
