    I did not see the "I can only assume this is a joke" when I copied it over from facebook...I knew it was a joke, hence why I posted in radio chatter! They're quite common in the trades too, "hey buddy go to the van and get me the wire stretchers!"

    If you live in Toronto the reserves are definately not to far from you, there are many units to choose from. In terms of co op in Toronto, I know that the Queens York Rangers get the majorityof their new troops through the co op program.

    If you still wanted to join the reserves you will not be able to be in the RCMP at the same time. And to answer your question, id imagine it would be the same as everywhere else in that regard, some will respect you and others not.

    I have never heard of different standards of Officers and NCMs of the same trade. However differences can occur between trades, i.e eyesight requirements for a pilot vs clerk.
