Top WMD Inspector concludes Saddam didn't have ANY WMD!!!...

What weirds me out is that after 18 months of occupation they have not found anything. So after more than 10 Years and a huge investment we now know one of two things either Iraq did not have a huge NBC program that threatened the world or two, the American military complex could not find its...

    Worthington Rakes the Subs

Keeping subs will allow us to keep the skill set they require both to operate and hunt. Operation also inludes maint which is very specialized and has a very steep learning curve. We are still recovering from the loss of our subs. As for checking facts I have before me a picture of submarines...

MilCOTS GMC Silverado (Iltis replacement for the PRes)

I love the new line vehicles. It took mere moments before we nicknamed ours the "Trawler" or "The Tuna Boat".

Intelligence review of WMD has interesting conclusions

A proof is a proof and if you have no proof then it is not a proof. ;D

    25 pounder vs 105

I remember being told that the 25 pdr traded range for barrel life, giving half the rounds of a 105mm before being shot out.

Making Canada Relevant Again- The Economic Super-Thread

If the US is succeeding and Canada is failing I must be missing something. Our economy is growing and we are living within our means for the first time in ages, perhaps we might actually pay off the debt we have been carrying since WW1. I know a portion of Canadians would love to spend a fortune...

    Russia's New Interceptor

The JSF seems to be an interesting "concept" aircraft I just hope they figure out how to make it work as well as promised before it is old tech.

Bayonet obsolete? Not yet, apparently -

I will keep my bayonet as it is light and never runs out of ammo/jams when clearing a trench.

    Reserve Pension- Merged

When you buy back time treat it like taking out a loan. If you pay off the "debt" at a faster rate you save yourself interest paid and thus pay less in total.

Won't Stand on guard for thee - a man's opposition to the Canadian flag & anthem

I am always shocked by how someone can stand up and say we should do (insert simple action here) and everything will be fine. If all of our problems were that easily solved they would have been solved a long time ago. The Canadian government has made some very poor choices regarding natives, and...

    International Infantry Capabilities

I wonder if the National Guard units ship everything that isn't bolted down to their battle schools every summer then hope it will be returned before Santa drops by? Of course not that would be foolish.

How does the loss of the CAR still affect training and capabilities?

Guess that is why the Americans sent Marines to occupy Hawaii and the Philippines, to keep ratings in line aboard US ships. Sailing into a harbour will only get your empire so far.

What can replace the Twin Otter?

The aircraft would require significant redesign in order to put them back into production and to recieve certification. Things like moving and upgrading fuel systems. We could however restore all of our airframes to like new for far less. Good enough for the owner of Oakley who has two Smells...

    Questions about the Reserves

Last time they tried to lure me to the dark side I was told that as long as I "intended" to get a degree sometime in the "future" I could accept a commission in the Reserves. I would however be limited to a max rank of Captain until I received the degree.

    The Sgt. Paisley Merged Thread

People do odd things because they are people. Unless he is willfully acting against Canada and our national interests he is not a traitor. I can think of a great number of PQ politicians who should wear that title long before any Canadian soldier.
