The US military has more Sgt's in the rank scale compared to Canada or any other military in the world....if you want to, you can think of "Buck Sgt" as MCpl in our rank scale. It is still a good article and good on him getting his Sgt's in 3 yrs.
My mum and dad were talking about this last night. My dad spent 35 yrs in the Air Force and retired as a WO and is pushing 65 yrs of age. If he dies in the next couple of years my mum will receive some money, and once he hits 65 it is going to be pennies! It makes you wonder why we pay into this...

Can someone clarify the rank structure in the Australian Armed Forces. Apparently a WO2 is equivalent to a CPO in the RAN and a Flight Sergeant in the RAAF, and all three are senior to a Staff Sergeant. Does that mean that CPOs and FSgts are warrant officers down under?

I have a CD, CFPM, SFOR x 2 (Bosnia), Non-Article 5 (Bosnia). Would have been just as happy to have gotten a 3 for my medal then a separate medal....
Why not the old Air Force base at Uplands (Ottawa). What about buying back the old Defienbunker (previous post) would be a good plan. Trenton would be another option. I am sure that if we need some land in Ontario and near Ottawa then some can be found.
How do you know that you are posted to Edmonton? Do you still have to do basic Training? You might find yourself in the wonderful Shilo Subburbs.........lol

Are you just talking about a regular stuff sack / compression sack? I have 2 that I bought from the PPCLI Kit Shop a couple of years ago and love them. They were made by DropZone, but I don't think they make anymore. They look like this one from MEC....except OD...
