CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

Fuck it - let them “bid”. The HLMRs etc are publicly available. I’ll order my retro Fisher Price plane off Amazon so I can place higher with my real aircraft that exits in material form.

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

The fact that punishment postings are a real unofficial CAF thing speak volumes about “career management” in the CAF…

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

Not sure why I had mine set up to go to my Forces email…but I did. I changed that at 10pm last night after logging on with DVPNI…on DSL internet. 🙄 My take-home always right around where I expected. Now to wait for mid-Aug to see take-home compared to mid-June…either way I’m happy for an...

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

My mid-July statement is on EMAA. It’s all there, all the backpay and the new pay rate.

Allowances - Post Living Differential (PLD) [MERGED]

PLD wasn’t to “help those who needed it”. It was to offset the COL at a given location the GOC and CAF forced people to move to. It was to offset the COL for all, as everyone posted there was subj to a different QOL and finances. My COL didn’t go down, I just don’t get PLD or Qual or CHD...

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

I’m crossing my fingers the RCAF will put more weapons on CMMA than we have on the 140. Low and slow(ish) P-8 Few clips of low stuff in this one too

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

We’ve worked down low with them; 200’ doing Vis ID during a MISSLE-EX. Their crew didn’t think it was that big of a deal. It’s not their optimal altitude but they’re capable of it…and they have HAAWC to enable their TTPs. MAD has been a game saver more than once on crews I’ve been on...

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

I hope so as well. If we do, I’d be less concerned about cutting a dry sensor and going with the MAD Drone that was in development. Maintain that cap without the need to position the aircraft dedicated MAD.

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

The better question is “will RCAF P-8s use HAAWC if we purchase P-8? My personal opinion; if you can get MAD, get it.

CMMA - replacing the CP140 Aurora

Maybe I’m getting old and senile; am I the only one who sees these silly Bombardier things and their mind starts playing the “she’s a witch/what else floats” scene from Monty Phython?

So, he did actually say “I was happy to”. There’s no acceptable reason. He understands the English language. He’s an idiot.

    CH 47 Incident at Petawawa 20/June/ 2023

100% I’m sure at some point I’ll hear things but I’m not asking a single question to the people I know in that fleet.

    CH 47 Incident at Petawawa 20/June/ 2023

Maybe the pause between the crash and the timeline for flight safety report to be released would be enough for the families to get thru the shock, grief and be allowed to come together to lay their loved ones to rest. The average citizen’s curiosity would probably dwindle by the time the...
