GirlFiredUp:
The Review Board will concentrate on reserve medical files as the summer dates for BMQ/SQ are coming up. Thats what my unit recruiter told me.
Thankfully my medical came back about 2 weeks ago!!
I talked to my Sgt. and he told me my spot was secured in the unit for summer basic...
Stitches are the pains you get in your sides when you jog. Its generally attributed to jogging too soon after you eat or poor breathing in my experience.
I get them slightly if I do PT between lunch + dinner or a few hours after dinner, if I do PT right when I wake up before I eat anything...
The good thing is you still have 2 months if you‘re going for summer reserve training.
Just jog 4-5 times a week. Don‘t let up, get up how ever early you need to do this.
Trust me you‘ll see results!
And make sure its jogging, try to do it before you eat breakfast as it will help prevent...
Well at least he has a sense of humour ;)
Keep going with the process, even if not this summer your unit can likely employ you during the year next year and either put you on a weekend bmq or let you wait until next summer to start. Either way it‘ll be worth it if its what you want.
You can dig statistics like that up on many local news agencies. Local Universities often carry the statistics for various reasons
eg:

statscan.ca is a great place for canadian statistics, the toronto star had good numbers...
I had a huge long post written about how Canadians and Americans really aren‘t that different but instead I thought I‘d do this:
"Try going to downtown Rochester or Buffalo after 8 pm without being raped or mugged several times. That is not a problem here in Toronto, Vancouver (although...
Graham‘s sounds identical to how mine was.
And hearing the guy before me thumping up and down the wooden stairs WAY off beat and not keeping a rhythm was highly hysterical for the 3 people waiting to go after him. Hope he couldn‘t hear us laughing =P
Give Chalc a break, hes just trying to...
Didn‘t want your thread to be deleted is all.. I know the mods are pretty vigilant about making sure "rules" aren‘t broken ;)
I know you didn‘t break any confidentiality, just was trying to make sure noone after you would so you could get some answers =)
Didnt mean you shouldn‘t have asked...
You must pass each individual part of the test to pass overall, doing 100 pushups wont matter if you fail after the first step test.
Sounds like you passed and have no worries though!
Hmm I had to sign something that said I wouldn‘t talk about the CF Aptitude test or any specifics about individual sections outside of that room.
I‘m currently in college, the spatials were weird at first but I quickly adjusted. Some people just aren‘t naturally capable of working with such...
Hey again everyone.
Well as some of you know from reading my previous post I had to hand some medical papers in a couple weeks ago. I had my doctor write me a note saying I was perfectly fit to enter the military once I was off medication a month from when he wrote the note (he wrote it on Dec...
If you need to huff oxygen or pack your blood for such a basic fitness test you shouldn‘t be trying to get in the army. ;)
Its truly easy, the step test doesnt even test you to the 2.4 k in 12 minutes standard. Or at least seemed like it was going much slower to me.
If you‘re young and not...
I did my entire fitness test solo.
8 minutes total step test time, 4 minutes phase 1 4 minutes phase 2. Didn‘t make it to phase 3 (but phase 2 is a pass).
Situps, chinups, and grip test were all rapid fire directly after for me but they will wait until your pulse drops below 100 for each...
At my units information session they said the reserves no longer accepts landed immigrants, only Canadian citizens.
Could be misinformation but just passing it along.
It was due to some medication I was finishing during the recruitment process, blood test came back normal so I should be cleared to get in as soon as CFB Boredon Medical Review Board clears me.
Hey guys, I just completed my physical, successfully completing my recruitment process except for a blood test result which I now have and am dropping off with the required physician paperwork tomorrow.
Out of curiosity, how long does it take to get cleared by the medical review board after...
