I had assumed that the initial fitness test would be released as it is for other units such as JTF2, SAR tech etc

Then I am assuming I would then be a mature student since I would not be entering the way a regular student is based on their highschool marks. So you can actually get into ROTP this way? Like how you can get into civi universities based off of college?

My understanding is that when you apply to a university without having grade 12 university courses, but is based on going to college for a year before hand you are considered a mature student, not because of age.

Consider yourself lucky if it only takes 4 months to go through the process.  As stated above, it can take much longer, it took me about a year just for them to start my application, but the wait has been worth it. My best advice is to don't give up hope and remain persistent.

I would assume that it would all depend on how busy they are, but for me it was generally within a business week. I found it quicker to phone them though. C.G.R

What are you trying to prove? See the policy posted by the previous member which states that you must be 17 unless selected to go to the RMC, it is relatively new. I believe the one which you posted is outdated.

I am afraid that all of the experience in the world would not help you because the age requirement was raised to 17. I was in the same boat Best of luck CGR
