    How to deal

I know that there will always be those people you can't stand and that you just wish weren't there. I know this, and I know I have to learn how to deal with them. That's the whole point of this thread. Not for people to state the obvious and say that it's inevitable that I'm going to deal with...

    How to deal

I've only been in cadets for a year, but I joined when I was 16, I'm 17 now so I got advanced and did red and green star in the same training year, I also was never a private, I went straight to corporal. People keep saying I might make Master Corporal by Christmas, but I doubt it. I don't...

    How to deal

The thing is these 'bad apples' haven't been rooted out. Some of them have been in cadets for 2-3 years, in some cases even 5 years. Nothing the NCO's do seems to help. Even when our CO makes remarks about behaviour or uniforms and such they don't pay attention. The only thing that happens is...

    How to deal

Ok, so here’s the thing. There are some people in my corps that drive me insane. (Not naming any names). When I have to be around them I just become a complete b*tch and want to beat the crap out of them. So I spend a lot of nights either punching walls or biting my lip to pieces to try and stop...

    C Coy VACSTC 2006

Yah, good times. Did you know that Ford took Daenkaert's electric razor and broke it trying to shave the other half of his legs? And it wasn't only 16 platoon cadets shaving his legs, my best friend from my home corps was helping, she was in Echo. And whether or not I'm staying out of...

Physical Fitness test for regular forces is eliminated for acceptance!?

I agree that not ever single person will be allowed. After all, there is still an extensive medical exam and people can still be deselected due to medical reason, such as old injuries that would become worse with training.

Physical Fitness test for regular forces is eliminated for acceptance!?

I'm going to a recruiting center soon to double check the details, but my understanding is that there is no physical fitness evaluation until you go to the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruit School, and then they will assess you and then help you obtain the level of fitness required, all...

Physical Fitness test for regular forces is eliminated for acceptance!?

I know personally I am a cadet that wants to join the army. I also know many other cadets that wants to go army. I also know a lot fear or are not at the level where they could pass the fitness test. Physical Fitness test for regular forces is eliminated for acceptance! You don't have to do a...

    Corps without an RSM.

Hey, Alberta isn't that bad, after all I live here. I'm just saying, to move all the way to Alberta to be RSM of a corps with about 20 cadets is kind of ridiculous.

    Corps without an RSM.

Thanks all the same, but you can stay with your corps. Besides, would you really want to move to Alberta?

    Advice: Wear Sunscreen

The point is that you can burn easily. We know what sunlight is and we know how it can easily be harmful if you don't cover up. The point isn't to say 'we got it worse than you' it's to say it's common sense everywhere. And the temperature doesn't always count. It could be 40 in a rain forest...

    Advice: Wear Sunscreen

Some people are lucky. They complain about becoming tan. I wish I could tan. But nope. Here I am as white as paper all year round, except when I forget to wear sunblock when it's warm out, then I turn a lovely shade of lobster red. And some people who get burnt, when it peels (I just love this...

    Rant, Brag or Compliment

What makes good cadets? What makes bad ones? When dealing with people, whether they be higher or lower rank, what do some cadets do that really annoy you? What makes you really angry? Come and complain, consider this a place to rant, brag or compliment. And if you're bragging, don't be annoying...

    Corps without an RSM.

OK, that's good then. I guess it was just misinformation. A couple of people were saying in my corps that you needed NSCE and warrent rank to be RSM, but it's all good if it's not necessary. Thank-you.

    Corps without an RSM.

With my corps our RSM aged out. Next September one of our Sgt. was going to be RSM but failed his NSCE. The other Sgt also aged out, and the other other Sgt just finished her gold star training and won't be NSCE qualified until next year, if she passes. Our corps is small, 20 on parade night...

    Vernon

So who all has their movement orders that are going to Vernon? I have mine, I leave at 10am on July 8th. Any Edmonton area cadets leave at the same time? My movement orders say flight CN 9624, anyone else on the same flight (except, of course, those from my own corps, 3068)?

    Pranks at camp. (Backdown)

How much did you pay for each? You know that jello would work just as well.
