Thats not completely true, you can request to be in a certain unit. How much your request has on their decision though I am assuming is very little. I know guys though who have requested to be in certain units and they got accepted into those units

Im merit listed 031, I was hoping to be accepted too, obviously. Do they call you THE DAY AFTER there is a selection board or is there a chance they might call us later on in the week?

it all depends where you stand on the merit list. ie. how good of an MP score you have. If you have a good MP score then you will get a call within the first 1-2 months.

ya I understand that bit Just confused cause this site is telling me there are selection boards at the end of every month while other ppl are telling me there are only 2 boards a year, and even other saying it only happens 4 times a year...

Yes I meant I am merit listed for BMQ, not for a tour. I am going 031. NO, I did not expect to go on a tour as soon as I am done BMQ, although in due time everyone in the infantry goes on a tour which is why I asked the question. ::)

No, I dont question your knowledge Do you know when the next BMQ is then, and when the selection board for it is?

True...It takes roughly 3 months though to get a passport processed no? I also heard that for a fee they can process a blue passport for you in like 48 hrs??? As well, along the lines of passports, etc...What other credentials/identification pieces/cards should I get before I leave for my BMQ...
