    Entering RMC this fall! (2011)

That's what my file manager told me at least. He said it's a first common year at RMC St Jean and then subsequent at Kingston. Also he said something about it being because they ran out of beds in Kingston, so the overflow goes to St Jean. This makes sense though, cause they were accepting a lot...

    ROTP or Glider Pilot Scholarship??

First round of selections for the 2011-2012 year was back in late March. Second round was even more recent, although I'm not sure of how many people were accepted during that round. Back to OP though, sounds like it's time to strap on your big boy pants and start thinking about your future...

    ROTP 2011-2012

Yeah, on the RMC SJ website it says that academic classes begin 22 Aug. It's entirely possible.

    ROTP 2011-2012

I think what Bowen was sent makes sense. Both RMC Kingston and Civvy U students go to CFLRS for their orientation/recruit camp. RMC St Jean students go to RMC St Jean for all of their stuff. That's what I took away from it at least. I didn't get an email or any confirmation of my own.

    ROTP 2011-2012

You're the first person I've heard of getting a confirmation letter, I'm still waiting on mine, although a friend of mine received a letter stating he was declined. Waiting patiently, also looking forward to meeting you possibly. The RMC St-Jean website (which is where I am spending my first...

    ROTP 2011-2012

Give your Recruiting Centre a call, they might know when your enrollment is supposed to take place. As for recruit camp dates, confirmation will come from Canadian Forces Recruiting Group sometime in June. This is what I have been told at least, even though it says Jul 31 on the RMC St-Jean...

    ROTP 2011-2012

In case anyone was wondering, the applicants from CFRC London will have their Enrollment Ceremony on Jul 23 at the Officer's mess at the Wolsley Barracks. No word on a specific time yet, but this is just what I have been told up to this point.

    Going Home

Okay, I understand now. Must have just read it wrong. And upon reading what you said again, it makes perfect sense. My apologies!

    Going Home

So say I got lucky enough to find 4 or 5 people to rent a car with. What I understand from what you said is that we would each get $415.52? That would certainly be the cheapest way I would think. Since we'd have $1662.08 to work with. I know that in my car, I get roughly.. 10L per ~100km. Let's...

    Going Home

Thought of this briefly too, then realized I'd rather travel for ~3 hours rather than 9+ Plus yes, the cost of gas is outrageous. If I based coming home purely on the price of gas, I'd probably never go back.

What's the dumbest thing you heard said today?

Stupidest thing I've heard today? "Don't vote for Stephen Harper"

    Going Home

How would I find this out for sure? Recruiting Centre I suppose, right? Any idea on travel time? Or cost? Or at least somewhere I can get more information lol.

    Going Home

This makes more sense. In regards to your previous post, I was just opening it up here in case someone could think of any other options. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I thought I might as well try. If the Gov't reimburses travel once a year, that might make it easier too, as I could then...

    Going Home

First off, I apologize if this is the wrong board for this topic, but I figure it's about as good as any. Secondly, I live near London, ON. I'm going to be attending CMR St-Jean next year, and I was wondering about the most cost effective/fastest/either or, way of getting home for holidays and...
