2 quickie type questions.
1) Where are these "amphibious assault" ships coming from?
and 2) When will these ships actually come into service?
Maybe its not so much the seakings we should be worrying about.
Just my 2 cents.

Excellent video, really makes me want to push on no matter what because I know what I have to go through is nothing compared to what they have to.
Thanks for sharing.

Am I correct in saying an IED would be hard to see in the first place? I can take a guess the guy who put it there didn't just stick it out in the open, so even if they were talking to the reporter....I just can't see him being a direct distraction in this particular event. Just my two cents, Im...
In these cases, isn't a Westener just a westener all the same? I mean, these aid NGO's are going to be attacked at the will of insurgents wether or not they have armed protection, right? It doesn't take much to get past a couple of troops and set off an IED.
I don't know for sure or not though...
IMO, Obviously Mr. Layton (NDP), though calling for change and a left wingist who is suppose to embrace change, is stuck so woefully in the past that he has no clue what we are fighting for today. War has changed, and Layton is stuck in the Cold War era of war declarations. We're fighting an...
Canister shot has been around for hundreds of years, not likely in the 120mm rounds of today, but still very deadly.
And Im talking pre-american civial war. Napoleanic wars it was used, favorite round of ships clearing upper decks of an enemy ship.
Great against advancing line infantry and...
My friend and I were talking about voting Conservative just a few days ago but he metioned he didn't want to
vote for Germant Grewal (yes we live in Newton-North Delta riding), and turns out the day after, he pulled his
candidacy to give the Conservatives a better chance of winning the max...
En Contrare, there is PLENTY of OD floating around Vancouver and I would bet that sewage treatment plant on Annacis Island! ;D
Dave's Army Surplus in New West has a MASSIVE warehouse on Annacis Island that is absolutely stocked FULL of OD combats.
If you call that a shortage....I'd like to see...

That's true, since the school didn't have to pay your normal wage, why would they punish you even more by taking back the pay the army gave you as well?
I know it costs about $190/day here in BC for a substitute teachers, but that's still about $100 less then what it costs for a full time...
Wow, I just learnt so much more on the war then what I thought I knew.
Can someone answer this...is it true that the British/Canadian(militia) units that fought at the various battles were almost always out numbered by invading American Forces?
I didn't think the cost of a war back then would...
Well I know of some cadet corps that have their reserve units that allow them to take a weekend and do the C7 training, go to the SAT range to make sure all the skills are down pat, then go on range with it. Never seen them have a problem but then again only like MCpl's and up were allowed to do...

Only cowards could have been able to carry out this attack. Heartless idiots with no regards to human life what so ever. It is reasons like this that I decided to join the P. Reserves until I'm old enough to join the regs. Ironically, I get sworn in tonight.
